Did you guess right?

This is my bird!! I caught him! Now he is deaded though.

Mum says thank you for putting the dead bird on the bed beside her while she was sleeping. It was a lovely present, and I got a pat on the head and told I was a good girl.

Then she scooped him up on the dustpan and flung him over the neighbours fence, sorry neighbours!!

What a waste! That was one tasty looking bird - I tell you!!

  5. Welcome to the bird catchers club, Poppy! I loved to try and catch birds for my mum. On the rare occasion I was successful, she was happy too. I know because she used to race around the garden waving her arms and screaming "GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!".

  8. Minnie says, "Your mom is a lot more gracious about your bird-catching than mine is--she won't even let me in the house if I've got one in my mouth! Hmph!"

  12. What fine hunting work there Poppy! Too bad you couldn't eat it. If there is a neighbor cat on the other side of the fence, they just got a gift!

  15. Good catch, Poppy! We can't believe your Mum threw your present to her out! Doesn't she appreciate the skill it took to take the birdie down for her?

  16. Nice hunting, Poppy! We've never caught one, though Pixie gave it a good try a couple of weeks ago. How mean of your mum to just toss it away like that.

Maybe next time you'll get to eat it...
