Clean Out

I have been good and helping my mum get sorted out. She dropped some stuff off at the Salvation Army store today, and thinks that once she gets settled into the new place, she is going to do another clean out, as she thinks she has packed at least 15 cushions away, and for one girl and a cat, that is far too many.
If your mum (and or dad) had a clean out - what would they get rid of? What's lurking in the cupboards?

  1. There's loads of rubbish lurking in the cupboards here.

    Poppy, you're an excellent helper!

  2. Our mum keeps too many boxes that she hides away from us. For some reason she always thinks that she will need them one day. And then every time we move, dad recycles her collection of empty boxes. When we get to the new house, the cycle starts again...

  5. Well done to you both, for cleaning out so much stuff.

The mom used to save empty boxes too (like Forever Foster's mum), but finally got rid of them all a few years ago. Of course, now she has to scrounge for one every time she needs one. LOL.

  6. Our Mom and Dad and Sisterbean has a yard sale this weekend to get rid of 'stuff'. THere was no kitty 'stuff' in the sale!

  7. Better not let our mum hear the word cushions!
She's mad for them. She buys them even if they match nothing we have or probably will ever have. It is a good thing we don't live near or she'd run right down to the Salvation Army store and buy all of yours. Simply cannot resist. We've got cartons and cartons of them.

  8. Poppy, you are really going to be in for a big change!
We wanted to stop by and say thank you for the words of encouragement for Rudy Toots, we know the purrs and prayers are working!
    Smoochies!

  9. We had a TON of extra sheets, blankets, towels, and plastic kitchenware stuff. Mommy thinks they reproduce in the back up the closets.

  11. Oh that is great that your mom is able to do some cleaning out while getting ready. Though we do think 15 cushions isn't too many - but maybe that is just because there are so many of us!

Our mom has boxes and boxes of stuff she cleaned out to use when she has a garage sale - we have WAY too much stuff!

  12. I think your Mummy should clean out a certain grey kitty and donate her to me! Looking good, Poppy!

  13. Personally, I think a cat can never have too many cushions! But then, my human is sort of a pack rat. She has a bunch of stuff she is trying to get rid of right now. She has several boxes of old magazines that she is going to put into recycling right now!

Here's hoping the packing ends soon. Looking forward to seeing pictures of you in your new habitat.

  17. Goodness, mum has had all summer working on cleaning out Grampies stuff. She was going to work on clearing out extra stuff from the kitchen and a couple of closets. Well that didn't happen! Maybe next year.

  18. Our humans recently went through the pots and pans and dropped some off at Good Will. Too many baking pans all in the same size!

  19. We don't think we are moving, but our Teri's been having donation pick ups about 2 x a month and well, we don't see anything missing but there's that room called the attic that we aren't permitted in and she's been up there a lot...
