Woo Hoo

One of the ads this year has been about claiming your tax refund for the year and having a "Woo Hoo" moment, as you realise how much money you have been given.  Mum got an email to say her company had put her refund into her bank account, ready to be spent.  Mum said " Woo Hoo" and went into her bank account, and found out she had gotten a whole $1.09.  More a Boo Hoo moment mum thinks, still she is grateful her any money she gets, and each little dollar counts.

  2. As I rarely get a refund on taxes even a $1.09 would be a woohoo moment for me!

  4. Hahaha! That's like the human's annual salary increase: Net $26 and change per month. Which will be lost (and more) come January 1st with the mandatory increase to pension contributions. LOL.

  5. I hope New Zealandic dollars are worth more than Canadian, because that wouldn't go far here. But still, it's better than nothing.

  6. I invariably have to pay an annoying pittance for state income tax. Not having to pay anything is worth something!

  10. It could by a tin of FF or two if on sale. I don't see a penny of mum's refund. Maybe you could be a dependent?

  11. On the bright side at least your mum got her $1.09. In Canada if the amount owing or refund is less than $2 it is wiped out.

Though woohoo seems a little overboard!

  12. Our mum wouldn't be going WooHoo for that. Maybe 1090.00 would rate a woohoo.

  14. Hello Julie and Poppy,
Well that amount is not going to buy many treats, is it? But as you say, better than nothing. Hope you are both keeping well and cosy.
