Grown Up

The house feels empty tonight, as Miss Belle and her beau have headed home.  Our sweet niece is a very smart and beautiful grown up 18 year old, but mum still found it hard having to send them onto a plane today, after awakening to see footage of the plane crash.  How terrible - the news is reporting that there were 80 children aboard.

I was not having much to do with the visitors, although last night I was in and out a lot, although mum thought that had a lot to do with it being cold and wet outside.  So tonight I have needed an uber big sleep to catch up on my zzzzzzs.   Mum went with the teenagers into town this morning, as they had some stuff they wanted to buy.  They had some lunch together and then mum let them take the airport bus to the airport and get onto the plane themselves, as it is good for them to have some skills.  Miss Belle is very capable and mum is proud that she was quite confident to take them both out and about while mum was sick in bed on Wednesday.  Her flu is still sticking around, so mum is sure this weekend will be quiet as she recovers.

Hope you all have some nice plans for your weekend.

Just heard on the news that there were nine Britons on board. Including two football fans on there way to New Zealand, to watch Newcastle United play on a pre season friendly!

Seems your having lots of fun with visitors...Glad your keeping your eye on things to...! Bless!x

  2. Poppy, dear, it's especially difficult for humans to cope with bad news when they're ill. Be a good girl and stay close to your mum while she's recuperating from 'flu and visitors, and this sad news.

Here in the Midwest, we're worried about a co-worker who we hoped took the flight to KL from Turkey rather than Amsterdam. A good man, Jass is a very-long-distance caring son for elderly parents.

  3. Your mum's niece sounds like a capable young woman. I hope your mum's activities didn't set back her recovery any. The both of you rest quietly this weekend, Poppy.

  6. I'm not a big fan of visitors either, Poppy, no matter how nice they are. I hope your human feels better soon, and she does not have to lay around all weekend (well, unless she wants to!).

  8. We is glad your mum had a good visit with her niece and her beau. A good rest with you sounds like a great idea.

Mom bean say sit was a terrible incident with the plane. She wishes people could just get along so innocent people didn't get hurt.

    Wishing your visitors safe travels.
