Vet Talk

So my vet emailed my mum tonight to say that they weren't too concerned about my heart from the heart tests, but  I have to stay on the diet and come back and see them soon.  Mum has been feeding me the biscuits most days, til I had a little protest for three days and refused to eat them and wandered around howling at her.  She'd be moaning if she had to eat things she didn't like either.

The good thing is that my teeth cleaning operation has been put off for a while, which mum says is good as she needs to save some money up for my operation.

I am back to normal now and snuggling up with mum in the evening and in the morning, which she says is nice although she always hates having to go to work when I have just decided to have a cuddle.  Although she thinks that might be a ploy to get me off the bed so I can hunker down for the day.

Hope you all have good snoozes too.

  1. Ah! Bless! That all sounds a lot better Poppy!x
You stick to what Mum tells you, and you'll be o.k. in no time! After all it won't be to bad to loose a little wait, give you lots more speed, when chasing those birdies! HeHe! :).

  2. Poppy, dear, this is good news! About your heart and teeth, that is. Everyone in my household is on a d-mn diet, so we empathize with you about those blessed biscuits. One would think that for what they cost, they'd taste better!

  3. This is good news indeed, Poppy. We're glad there's nothing to worry about and that your dental has been postponed. Bad news re: the diet, but we're on food restriction too (same food, just less of it, supposedly). Our "diet" isn't working, though. Our human swears Derry keeps getting fatter and fatter, the less food he gets! Wishing you better luck with your "diet!"

  4. I am glad your heart needn't be worried about, Poppy. Everyone knows it's big, anyway. You sound like my cat Tungsten. She comes to snuggle during movie-night, but always when the film has just five or ten minutes remaining...

  7. I'm glad the vet isn't too concerned about anything going on with you, Poppy! Ugh about the diet, though - I don't blame you for complaining.

  9. We do our best to keep mum in bed in the morning too. Maybe she won't go and day hunt.

    Glad your heart is OK.
