Mondayitis

Mum had a touch of the Mondayitis today.  She always finds it more difficult to get to sleep on a Sunday night, and it didn't help that the council did some street painting at midnight on Sunday.  Truly - we know it is a quiet time for them, but not nice for sleepy girls.

Mum also knew she had a busy day at work, and although it was steady she had pleasant company during the day and things went better than expected.  Hoorah!!

So she picked up some ingredients and made a chicken salad for her dinner, and a fancy feast for me.  Some dishes were done, the garden was watered, Gdad got a phone call and now a bit of book reading for bed.  Me - well I've done lots of napping.

Hope you all had a good start to your week.

  3. Poppy, dear, it's sometimes difficult for middle-aged ladies to move on Mondays. Very clever of you to show Mum how to stretch her forelimbs... Have you shown her how you do the cats' dip-and-hip salute to the sun, yet?

  4. Yes, I suppose the local government must repair streets when the streets aren't in use, but midnight seems an inconvenient time for everyone else. And as for Modayitis... I had a dream that I woke up to go work, then I really woke up and had to do it over again. Sigh.

  5. That sounded like a pretty good Monday, Poppy.

Monday has pretty much gotten away from this human, though no doubt the boys are home happily snoozing. At least I hope they are! :-)

  12. I had Mondayitis too because I was stuffed into the PTU at 7.30 to be at the vet for 8 o'clock in the morning. When we got home again, I slept all day and mum kept yawning because she hadn't been able to sleep the night before.
