Quiet

Last night when mum got home it was very quiet.  This is the front of her room, where the painting and building is being done.  She looked all round the inside of the house, and was out in the garden calling and calling me.  Normally I run to greet her when she gets home, but as the painters are noisy, I have been hiding.
She went down the stairs in the front of our little place, as I normally hide out there.  At 7pm - two hours after she got home, mum went up the stairs and called and called and finally I answered.  I had found myself stuck over the stairs at the house opposite us, this little villa you can see through the window.  Mum was so pleased to see me, and I snuggled with her all night.

Tonight when she got home I was in my usual spot on her bed, so mum was pleased.

Because I am an inside/outside cat I have my own little hidey holes outside, but I am a good girl and always come home and stay inside 90% of the time close by my mum.  Mum did consider putting me in the cattery, but I am always a bit miserable when that happens.  The other choice was to lock me in mums bedroom with a litter box, but it is real noisy in the house and hot too, so mum is not sure that I would like that either.

So - she will consider how I cope on today and Monday and make a decision at the beginning of next week.

She is glad that I came home.

  2. Poppy, dear, you're a very good girl to come home when Mum calls you. If you decide to hide outdoors, don't go too far away!

  3. ME TOO! Gosh Poppy, you gave your Mum quite a fright. Please don't do that again. I couldn't bear it if anything bad happened to you.

  4. Your mum must have been very worried, Poppy, and it sounds like you were as glad to see her as she was to see you. Is there someone you can stay with for the day?

  5. It gives you a fright when they don;t come when called. Since we found Freya a new home none of our cats leave the property. She was taking them all with her which was doing my head in.

  7. Maybe you will adjust to all the activity, Poppy - I hope you do, since staying home in your own environment is best for you.

  9. Maybe mum could pick the coolest part of the house. Like the bathroom and put you in there. If she made a hideyhole for you out of a box with a blanket draped over it you can hide in there

  14. No fun with all of the noise when they work on the house. Hide away, but come home when your mum gets home.

  15. We don't like going to the cartery either. But If you are miserable at home with the workmen and miserable at the cattery, perhaps misery with safety is the best answer.
    Love the little blue villa!
