Ohh ohh

Ohh ohh - what is that thing on the spare bed and why am I sitting so close?  Mum opened up the spare room tonight to find some things, like summer tops that she thought she had better wear before the summer is over.  She didn't actually need them today, as we had a lovely mid summer storm with 140km winds, rain and thunder and lightening.  Mum was wishing she had a day off, rather than having to get up in the middle of that and go to work in a jacket and scarf in January.

Hope you all had a lovely Friday.

  2. It was wet and windy up here too, and we had some good old claps of thunder that made both the dogs jump. Just you wait, February will be a scorcher!! Happy weekend to you two.

  3. Poppy, dear, your mum is very fortunate to have a box room! And how conscientious of you to give it a good sniff for the presence of mice -- they love box rooms.

  4. Good gracious, Poppy! 140km an hour winds? Your Mum had better give you extra food to beef you up. We wouldn't want you to blow away!
We've found that the weather is frequently like a pendulum so be prepared for the HOT weather to come.

  7. Is El Nino affecting your summer? Making it cooler and stormier?

  8. Poppy, we were worried when we saw you laying next to your PTU. At least you are not going for a ride to the V-E-T - at least not this time. We're sorry that you are experiencing such un-summer-like weather. Glad to hear your mom didn't get blown out to sea with such terrible winds. We hope your typical warm & sunny summer weather arrives very soon. Until that happens, we would be happy to trade weather with you. You would be getting freezing rain & below freezing temps., but were sure you would come to love it. We also love getting into our spare bedroom. Mom keeps the door closed so we don't fur-up the bed since it is for guests. Once in a while, mom goes in that room to find something she needs & closes the door on us. Guess she doesn't realize we are in there. We nap until she realizes we have disappeared and when she cracks the door open we rush out nearly knocking poor mom right on her tush. Keep warm Poppy & we hope you get nice warm weather soon.
