Caturday

  • Bounce on your mum at 6am to tell her to get up even though it is her day off and she doesn't have to get up until 8am.
  • At 8am when she really has to get up lay on her leg and purr.
  • Lie on the bed and stretch yourself out so that she feels guilty and won't strip the bed and wash the sheets.
  • When mum gets home from her lunch out with a bestie, ignore her.
  • Wait until she has dozed off and then sit on her and meow and beg for your dinner.
How did you enjoy your Caturday?  Did you have a fun day like me?

Twas a quiet Good Friday here at the house of Q.  It was hot so mum and I were lazy and did not much.  Perfect.

Day Offing

Mum did try to sleep in but rubbish bags have to be out before 8am.  The pipe workers working on our street were amused to see mum with her bed hair take up the rubbish bags.

She finally got out of her dressing gown to do some chores and go for a walk.  She visited the library to stock up for the Easter weekend.  When she got home i was in the same spot I had been in when she left.

Chicken and broccoli pasta for dinner for her and a feast for me.  So nice to have a day off.  I enjoyed it.

Chilled

Today was pretty chilled.  It was mums day off and we got some sleeps and I watched her wash the sheets, do the dishes and Hoover.  I did not watch when the man came round to  check out the tv aerial.

He was helpful and checked out mums tv.  It has been pixelated and skipping for the past fortnight and almost impossible to watch anything.  So it turns out mums satellite box was at fault.  It was 5 years old so mum went out and bought a new one.  Luckily now they are 25% off the price they were.

Mum also got some jobs done in town and then came home to blob.  She is a bit tired now so off to bed early, as she has to be up at 5am tomorrow morning.

Mum us lucky - she gets 3 days off work and will work on Easter Sunday and Monday.  So she has a pike of books and plans to take it easy.  Me too!!

Easter Prepping

Mum is getting stuff in for Easter.  14 rolls should do it.  Mum was almost down to her last 2 rolls today, which was making her nervous.

Mum says thanks for asking about her knee.  On Friday after walking home, which is all uphill, mums knee felt like it was going to collapse.  This happened about 4 times.  Over the weekend it ached a bit but was better today.  So much as mum needs a few walks on her days off she will try and rest her keg so that whatever is giving the niggle gets a rest.

Sunday Relaxing

Mum and I slept in - bliss.
The sun was shining so washing got on the line.  Brunch was eaten.  Mum went into town to the library and have a little walk around.  She has had a sore knee so couldn't walk her usual distance and took a bus home.

The rest of the afternoon was resting with me - bliss.  We are lucky girls.

Hello Heater My Old Friend

So mum packed the sandals away, and slipped an extra blanket on the bed.  And she welcomed back my old friend - the heater.
Mum worked today and then visited the supermarket to get stuff for an easy dinner for herself and some feasts for me.  She then filled up on small Easter eggs while watching Murder On The Orient Express.  Sure feels like autumn.

I hope you did something fun today for your Caturday.

Snoozers

Mum was pleased when her friends texted at 10am to cancel evening plans.  That meant when she got home she could crawl onto the bed with me and snooze.  Then she got up and had a shower, put her dressing gown on and eat toast and then some ice cream.

Now to bed again as she has an early start again tomorrow.

Later

See you mum - you have a good evening shift and I will see you later.  Mum knows that when she gets home I will be on the same spot on the bed.

Too Much?

Mum saw this at a shop in town.  Very cute, but she thinks it could be a bit much for a middle-aged lady. - maybe ok if she were 12.  Best to avoid a trendy sheepskin too - I don't like to sleep or step on them.

Recovering

Mum is trying to recover from 3 night of being on call.  I am searching the skies for birds.

Sunnyday

Well everbuddy in the city behaved themselves overnight on St Patrick's Day as mum only had to go to work once and got a good night's sleep.  She even got up early and washed the towels and sheets, and did the dishes.
She then went for a walk to the market and then to the cinema where Casablanca was showing.  It is one of those movies that she has seen parts of,  but had never seen the whole thing.

After that she took another walk and then came home to relax.  More Queer Eye - which she watches in Netflix.  Such a nice show about men helping men and with tears and smiles at the end.  A nice remake full of joy, honestly I haven't enjoyed a show like this in a long time.

So last night on call tonight.  Wish mum luck!!  I need my sleep too and will be ready for her to sleep well the rest of the week.

Fantastic Caturday

Hey kids, it's Caturday again.  Mum is tired as she is on call overnight.  She got up twice and went to work, so she slept in this morning with me.
We said goodbye to our fan and put it into hibernation for the winter.  Thanks fan - we were glad to have you for the summer.  The summer sheets are being swapped for flannel, and mum is going to put the sandals away too.
The best thing about mum finishing at 6am was that she got to go the supermarket at 6am and stock up on my favorite feast flavours.

Mum relaxed for the afternoon with a bag of chilli chips and the 2018  Queer Eye which is sooo good.

Hope you all did something fun today.  Enjoy your Caturday   Ohhh and Happy St Patricks Day to you all too - hope you are having a touch of green for your day.

Wintering

It's blustery and cool outside, and winter is sneaking towards us.  Mum cooked comfort food of bangers and mash for her supper.  She is on call tonight and not sure how much sleep she will get.  So I will have to have a snooze on her behalf.

Flowers For You

Mum had a busy day at work today.  Half way through she got a phonecall from a friend she hadn't seen in 15 years.  They arranged to meet up for dinner.  So she rushed home, gave me a pat and my feast, had a shower and got dressed and headed out.

They had a great time at dinner with heaps to catch up on.  When mum got home i wanted lots of  attention and pats and told her off for leaving me.  Naughty mum.

She liked these flowers she saw on her holiday.  She doesn't have a green thumb, but appreciates other people's gardens.

Present

Mum got me a present to say sorry for going away.  It is a feather from a big bird, an ostrich.  She made the lady in the shop laugh when she told her she was buying it for me, as usually the posh ladies buy them as decorations in their homes.

I had fun chasing it for 5 minutes then I needed a sleep.

I'm Back Baby!

I'm back friends.  Mum had a nice break away with friends.  There was shipping, walks, relaxing and lots of eatingand drinking done.  The alarm was turned off and mum enjoyed a break.

I well I had to go the cat hotel and I was glad that mum came and rescued me today.  She stayed home with me this afternoon and we bonded again.

We missed you all  - but mum said it was nice to have a technology break.

These two things make mum happy.  Cats + Books.

Greeting

Usually I pop out to greet mum when she gets home and then I have to rush back and continuingmy resting.  The bed was not made as mum was washing the linens.

We were watching buts if the Oscars this afternoon.  She was pleased that 3 Billboards and the Shape of Water won awards - she enjoyed them a lot.

Summering

We had another lovely day of summering here in the city.  Mum missed most of it she was up at 5am and walking to work at 6.30am in the dark.  By the time she finished at 3pm it was hot and sunny.

Mum let me sniff her shoes and then us girls took a wee nap on the bed.  A perfect summers afternoon.

Sky

We keep seeing weather reports on the news of the storms in the UK and the US on our news.  We thought you would like a glimpse of our morning and evening skies today.  It was a balmy 27 deg C here today but has cooled down to 18 deg tonight so mum should be able to get some sleep.

Mum was up early and met a bestie.  They went to a fair and bought a few little treats for themselves.  It was a nice day for a wander round eating and drinking some tasty things.

I relaxed at home and waited for mum to come home and then she gave me a big relaxing comb which I tolerated for 5 minutes.

We hope you had a nice Caturday and did something fun.

No Sign

There is no sign of Mr/Mrs mousie, although I am still looking and sniffing around the living room.  Mum would rather we found it and got it out then it makes its house in our place.

Mum finished her evening shift last night, and got a couple of hours sleep and then back to work today.  It was a nice day and she went for a wee walk after work.  A visit to the library and then home by 6pm.  Some feast for me and mum had some spicy chicken nibbles for her dinner and now she is going to chill out for an hour or two.  No time for sleep ins over the weekend, she has plans and needs to be in charge of the house and to be on mouse guard duty.  She needs to earn some money and buy some mousetraps.

We hope you have lots of nice things planned for your weekend.

Gift

As mum got home late from work last night I got her a present.   She gave me my feast and then I rushed out into the garden and caught her a mousie.  She went to chase me out with it so if course I dropped it - so now we have a mouse in the house.  Mum is not pleased with me.
