Rainbow

When the light shines though the window, in the morning, it looks like I am lying in a rainbow.

Well a Rasta, Bob Marley rainbow.

Still we are lucky to be having some sunshines, when lots of our friends are buried in snow.
Have a lovely weekend everybuddy.

Important Interruption

An important interruption to our doormat posts. Our sweet friend Moki is very sick. You can see in this picture, that his big brother Orange Boy is snuggling with him to keep him warm. Moki you are in our thoughts, and we are sending big summer hugs and purrs across the oceans to you and your family.

Smooches to you, our wee buddy.

Still loving the doormat

Yup, I am still loving the mat. Today my mum got to spend the morning sleeping in (she got called into work late last night). I was a good girl, and only jumped on her three times to ask her to get up and get my breakfast ready. The third time must of worked, cause she gave in and got me my biscuits.

Tonight, she has made sure I have had my pre bedtime snack, so that I don't need to wake her up.

Last night was sticky summer hot, and mum slept on top of the bed with a thin quilt on. Tonight a southerly has blown in, so it will be back under the duvet for mum, and between her knees for me.

Sleep well everybuddy.

Monday

We had quite a photo session at the weekend - me and the mat. So mum thinks she will spend this week posting all of the pictures so you can see them.

She doesn't know why I didn't like the rubber door mats. Maybe they smelled funny, or felt strange. Doesn't matter as she has to get rid of them now. Now I have my sunflowers, I am happy.

We hope you all had a great start to your week.

Hello New Week

My mum went to a fair just before christmas. For $10 (NZ - $5 US), she got two great rubber doormats. I hated them. When she put them by the back door I stayed outside, and the other one was in her room for a couple of days, til she found a space for it. I had to do a running jump so I could avoid it.

So, after the new year, mum gave in and went and bought two more doormats. I LOVE the sunflower ones, they are great to stretch and relax on. And fantastic for scratching.

See, you have to train your humans so they buy the right stuff.

Have a good week everybuddy.

Saturday

Saturday was exciting. Mum went with friends to the Wellington Race Day, which is held just outside the city. It was scorching hot, and after just one half glass of champagne and some potato chips, mum felt like she was going to pass out. She had to run and sit in the shade, hoping she did not pass out or be sick. Luckily the feeling passed and she was able to resume her day.

It was nice to see lots of sun, and some parts of mum saw more sun than others.

Me, I stayed home and ignored the housework again. Oh, but we get to change the sheets tonight. My favouritst thing in the world.

We hope you all had a great Saturday.

Weekend Plans for me and mum

Today I am looking forward to the weekend. Mum is off somewhere on Saturday, but promises me a sleep in Sunday.

Have a good weekend everybuddy.

Hiya friends

We are back from holidays. Mum went away to christchurch for a holiday, which is a pretty city in the South Island of New Zealand. Even though it was sunny and warm, on Saturday there was hail, then thunders and lightening and this waterspout just off the coast. Watch out surfers!!

Luckily I got to stay at the local cat motel. Boy am I pleased to be home with my own biscuit supplier. When mum got home from work at 10pm tonight, I was out on the road playing with a hedgehog in the gutter - ahhh the life of an inside/outside spoiled cat.

We look forward to catching up with everybuddy soon, but first we have to catch some sleeps.

What mum and Belle did on their holiday

At the end of this little street filled with typical Wellington houses, is our city zoo. Mum had friends who lived along here, and they were awoken in the morning by the noisy chimps. Not your usual alarm clock.

Oh look, a monkey climbing around.

And Miss Belles fave, the giraffe enclosure. If she could of moved in with them, she would have.
Me, I stayed home and warmed the beds.
Miss you miss Belle.

Sunday (or not so sunny)

Sunday involved a verrrrrrrrrrry late morning for us. Mum was on-call last night, and got home about midnight, so stayed up til 3am interneting and reading. The day dawned cloudy and cool again, so once she had a shower she finished her book, had something to eat and moved to the couch.

Imbetween she did some weeding, some washing and learnt about the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britian on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXVdNKciP94 this is where they cover Nirvanas Smells Like Teen Spirit. You should go and visit, they're awesome!!

Mum did have a milkshake yesterday, and we danced around the lounge rocking out to some tunes. We hope you all did some things to make you smile.

Have a great week everybuddy.

Global Warming

Mum says she loves Al Gore and his cute little dvd "An Inconvenient Truth". Her dad is his biggest critic, but had never watched this dvd. Last time Gdad came to stay, mum made him sit and watch it. He did fall asleep at the end of the movie, but mum was sure to wake him.

Anyways, much as mum believes we are hurting our planet she has another theory to rival Al Gore.

She believes the reason that the weather has gone crazy, is that Easter eggs are already been sold - on the 9th of January she was witness to them being on the shop shelves already. She thinks the weather gods are all confused, cause Easter eggs and buns are meant to come out in autumn (spring for those of you in the northern hemisphere).

Thats why we have a cool sourtherly and rain today, and summer has blown away. Hopefully it will be back tomorrow.

Smooches to you all.

Weekend Plans

Look how fuzzy I was when I was little. I am hoping you all have a lovely weekend, try and relax and have some fun. Put the stereo on loud, and dance around the lounge with your bean, let them make milkshakes and share them together, or just snuggle on the couch.

Have a lovely weekend everybuddy.

Blue sky day

Today was a blue sky day, and a bit of a scorcher. Mum works at the hospital and has tiny windows, which let in a sliver of sky allowing her to see that the clouds had not arrived during the day time. Once evening arrived, though they blew back in.

So we had a nice evening together, getting a couple of jobs done.

Mum is trying to tidy up, do some gardening and watch 'Life on Mars' the UK version, which she got on dvd from the library. What a busy week - oh and sorting out the new computer.

Smooches.

A very wordy Wednesday

You have seen this picture of me before, but we still like it so while the picture situation is getting solved, you will be seeing outtakes of my life.
Now the visitors have departed, I am spreading myself out on every sleeping surface. I do like to sleep between my mums kness for a while, but I usually end up catching 400 winks in the spare room (my room).
Like our mate Pablo in Tassie, Australia it hasn't been much of a summer. It is warmish, and we are not complaining as we know so many of our blogging friends are surrounded by snow, and feel like Eskimos at the moment. It is just that we have had lots of cloud and wind. We want to see some sun, and feel it warm our furs (and mums footsies).
We hope you are all keeping warm/or cold depending on where in the world you are.
Smooches.

Hi

Hi furriends, we are still playing with the computer. Bear with us, it could be a longish week. So this is me when I was little, out sniffing the flowers. Mum says it is always good, to stop and see the beauty in the flowers, even the little ones.

See you soon my petals.

New Laptop

Apparently connecting to the Internets wasn't too hard for mum, she just put the plug in the back and it worked - awesome. It may take her a couple of days to get the photos up and running though.

Miss Belle has headed home with her dad, and her new puter. We know she is going to have fun doing all kinds of cool stuff on it. The house seems empty without her, but I have moved back onto my bed.

Have a great week everybuddy.

Newsflash

Just to let you know I will be keeping my eye on you all (mum took this silly picture by sticking her camera over the end of a roll of christmas wrapping paper).

We are officially about to hand over the old laptop to my niece Belle, to help with her schoolwork and sociallising, very important when you are 12.

Mum has bought a new laptop, but it may take her a while to figure out how to connect to the internets on it. Hopefully we will be back on line soon!

So everybuddy, don't worry we aren't disappearing, just trying to get back online. See you soon!

Mum, Belle and Me

Mum likes these action shots, they show my motion she says, and they look a bit arty.

Mum and Belle, decided since the skies were grey like me, and the wind was howling, to move holiday central to the movie theatres in town. There they managed to both feel sick after a fast food lunch, and to watch Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly in the Day the Earth Stood Still, and Jim Carrey in Yes Man.

The they came home and watched Ice Princess on the tv, after Miss Belle took her aunty out for Japanese for tea.
Mum tried to watch Brick Lane on DVD, but was falling asleep. So an early night for the three ladies in the house. Mum put my grey merino blankie on Belles bed, so I am camping with her.
Night all.

Furry stick games with Belle

I have been teaching Belle how to play the furry stick game.

She is a good student.................

..........................I love my new game!!
Today though I have been a bit grumpy about having a visitor, especially when one moves into my bedroom. Mum says I should learn to have nicer manners, maybe I need supernanny Jo to come and sort me out.
