Bargin Shopper

About 18 months ago, in a time when the sun shone and it was hot!!! (a long long time ago), mum bought some sandals on sale. Now she never got to wear them, as the sun disapeared and once she got them home she realised they were a bit small for her. So in the great shoe clearout of 2009, she photographed them and listed them on trademe (NZs own version of Ebay).

Til last night, when some observant soul noticed that they were two left sandals. Mum hadn't noticed, she was very embarassed, and annoyed that she had recyled the box they came in last week, and she didn't have a receipt.

Anyone with two left feet, that would like some pretty red sandals? Anyone with one left foot who would like two free sandals for the summer?

Luckily I don't wear shoes. That will teach her for not checking in the box, before she left the store. Lesson learnt.

  16. Oh no! We didn't notice two lefties either! Maybe the store where she purchased the shoes has the two rights. Maybe they held them thinking the leftie lady may return. Or maybe they'll offer her a discount on a new pair since they'll be embarrassed they sold the two lefts to her.

  17. Oops! Kind of looks like they might be different sizes too! I guess that teaches all the Moms a lesson! Check the shoebox before you file it away in the closet!
Hope you have a Happy Halloween!

  22. *LOL*, that make me think of "Best in Show" - the wonderful movie - although that was a guy who actually had two left feet:) But irl it must be such a nuiscance!

My mum nearly bought a pair of shoes on sale that were different sizes in one box, luckily she spotted that before she left the shop though. I do think that your mum will have learnt a lesson from this two left feet buy, Poppy...

  25. That's pretty funny! You should be able to laugh about this one for a long time. I'm quite fond of shoes myself. I like rolling around in them and on top of them. You should give it a try. I don't think you'd even notice the two lefties.

    mew and Happy Halloween!
