Cold weathers
The Cold weathers mean that mum has been closing the doors to keep the lounge and bedroom warm and keep the cool out. So I after sit and ask for her to come and open the doors up for me, so that I can go and patrol, or find a spot to have a snooze in.
Mum says that winter is almost over and soon all the doors can be wide open, and the windows too.

New Spot
Dis is my new sleepy spot. In the spare room, on the top of a pile of teetering boxes, where I found mums puffer vest. Mum knows to find me here now, if I am missing.

Weekending
This is a picture of me from March - mum thinks it is lovely and worth posting if we haven't posted it before. We had a busy weekend, mum did call on Friday night for a friend, and only got to bed at 5am, and had to be up to be at the hairdressers early. She then went with friends to see the movie The Guard, and eat yummy cheap Thai food in Petone.
Today she has chilled with me at home, doing loads of washing and making chilli for dinner. Now I'm pacing ready for my dinner - it is 5pm after all.
Hope you have had a good weekend, with time for rushing around and time for relaxing.

Seeya Winter
Winter, you haven't been too bad, but we are glad that this is your last weekend with us. Spring is on its way, we can feel the warmth in the sun finally. We hear that a big hurricane is heading towards the US, and we hope all of our friends are safe.

Reading
My mum loves to read books, me I like papers more. Mum has a book moutain of library books piling up beside her on the bedside table, and needs to stop watching TV, and knucle down to her books. Every night she read before she goes to sleep, even if it is very late, it stops her mind whizzing around and settles her. Even after a call in, at 4am, she will still read for ten minutes before trying to sleep.

Watching
Sometimes I don't even have to go outside when I wants to spy on the backyard. I just sits in the kitchen and looks out through the window.

Miss Peach - A Special Angel
Oh - we just heard that our special friend Miss Peach went to join her beloved Mickey as an angel today. Miss Peach was one of our first visitors, and with her lovely family kept us all smiling as we visited her Cozy Cottage. Our hearts are with her lovely family, as we know their hearts will be broken. RIP sweetie.
Cuddler
Hmm, so you'd all like to give me a cuddle? I only let my mum cuddle me for a teeny tiny bit, and I jump up on her lap a couple of times at night, but only for about three minutes at a time. I do like rubbing my body against her smelly feet, and at night I come up and snuggle between her knees to keep warm. Us British shorthairs can be a bit aloof, but mum says that's ok - I am what I am.

Sunday Gardening
We haven't killed the catnip yet!! I am enjoying sniffing it though. Mum put the plants outside today, while she cleaned up the backyard. The wind/rain/hail/snow blew lots of leaves around.
We hope you all got some relaxing done on your Sunday.

Buckeroos
Mum got her powerbill today, and it is for lots of big buckeroos. She says that the heater will have to be rationed, and we hope the sunshines and warmth are back soon, as she can't afford the big bills like this one.
Have a great weekend everybuddy.

Camping Season
When the weather is bad outside, don't let it put you off going camping. Just shift your tent indoors in front of a heater, where you will get maximum warmth and a good view, just make sure that your mum checks that your tent is not flammable.

Wednesday Weather
This was the local motorway last night - with snow. We just got lashings of hail where we live, and it is continuing today. We know that this time next week, the warmer weather and sunshine will probably be back, so we know it won't last long. We are thinking about all the spring lambs outside in the cold though, and hope they snuggle up to their mums.

Holy Hailstones
Our backyard got covered in hailstones this afternoon. I stayed inside while it was falling, but had to sneak out after my dinner. Our TV news is full of the weather, you have to understand that the last time this happened was 1976, and before that 1939, and this snowfall is recorded as the most ever. So for many people, they are living in areas, where snow has never ever fallen.
So thanks for the warm wishes, we can't wait for summer to arrive and our turn for the sunshines.

Snow Day
We know that many of our friends live with piles of snow all winter. Well we don't get much, just every ten years or so on the high hills surrounding Wellington. But not like this, not on our street which is at sea level and not at the zoo which is about five minutes drive from our house. The poor lions and chimps are chilly!!
When mum walked home from work, there it was hail and thunder and lightning. Exciting!!

Hiding Out
Our friends in the Wellington hills have rung to say it has been snowing at their places this afternoon. We have had a touch of it here, just fleeting down on the flat.
Mum is on call from 7pm- 8am, so she has dug out her merino hat and gloves and is ready to go.
So if you are having a warm Sunday across the world, please enjoy your sunshines. We are all snuggled in beside our heaters tonight.

Bombs and Blizzards
Sorry we missed our post yesterday - mum had to work all night. She got called into work, and there was a police cordon, as there was a bomb scare. The policemen had to stand out in the rain, and they did eventually let mum sneak into work to help out her patients. Mum then helped her doctor sneak out the back door, and they never heard any more details!
The papers and the tv news are warning us that a blizzard is on its way up from Antartica Sunday evening. So mum has been to the supermarket and stocked up, and got all the quilts on the bed. We'll keep you filled in with what happens!!

Green Paws
I helped my mum with some pot plants at the weekend. She is helping me grow catnip and catgrass in the two little pots. In the big planter we have some oregano, parsley and corriander. Now mum is not sure that she has any green fingers, so she is hoping that I have some green paws to help her out.

Sunday
Mum and her dad were lazy today. After a morning where mum was in her dressing gown til lunchtime, she made home made soup for lunch and they sat in the sun and enjoyed it. An hour later, at their friends place, the clouds and rain rolled in, and bought hail with it. So now I am curled up on my Gdads pyjamas, warming them up for him.

Visitors Bed
Visitors Bed, you are the best. I think I am going to move into the spare room. Mum laughed when she found out that I spooned with the visitor on the first night, cos normally I runs away from strangers.

The Wanderer
Even though I like to wander up and down my end of the street, most of the time I stick close to home. I like my backyard and the neighbours house, and I am verrry good at fertilising the neighbours plants.
As you can see, the neighbours live very close to us, and they keep an eye out for me. Now we have moved away from the nasty boys who bullied me, I am much happier.
