St Patricks Day Bad Bling Fail

Beware of this cautionary tale of bad bad motherhood - enter if you dare!!!

The mumster bought this expensive St Patricks day bling bling to wear today, and thought in her middle aged wisdom that I might look lovely in it for a picture.  I did look lovely, but I am not trained like many of my costumed friends, so I took off through the cat door wearing the bling bling.  Mum tried to entice me in to take it off, but that made me run faster and round the side of the house and down the stairs.  In fact she had to wait two hours for me to come back so she could take the bling bling away.

Now mum feels real bad - she did not want me to get stuck in the necklace or get hurt.  She is normally very careful with such things.

So she went into town to meet her niece and tell her about our afternoon adventures - boy did she laugh!!!

  3. Poppy, dear, I'm sure your mum will think twice about sharing her bling bling with you -- she'll definitely check on whether the cat flap is open and unlocked. But I do sympathize with her feelings as she viewed your southern aspect moving rapidly north...I once scorched a loaf of banana bread, so I decided to 'share' it with a neighbor's Basset Hound that was lounging in the yard. Rather than eat his treat discreetly under the lilacs, the bounder ran off with it down the middle of the street!

  6. It is a funny tale, now that you have returned safe, Poppy. I'm sure your mum didn't think you'd run away like that. I'm glad both you and the necklace came home undamaged.

  10. Poppy, that was quite a St. Paddy's Day escapade you had running away with mom's shamrock bling around your neck. We wonder if any of your neighbors spotted you running around with the bright green necklace? If they did, we bet they had to do a double take to make sure they were not imagining such a sight. Now mom should really know that costumes & wearing bling are not your thing. Glad you decided to return home so mom could remove the festive jewels. You did give her a very funny story to tell on St. Patrick's Day. The only green you need to wear today is your beautiful green eyes. As long as you have them, no one can pinch you for not wearing green today.

  15. Did you bring the bling charm back home with you? Were you running around town wearing the charm? Did you drop by a pub for a pint of Guiness? We are glad you returned home safely. Meow from Jessica
