Day Off

Mum was glad that today was her day off.  There were clouds, but lots of sun too, so washing was popped outside and even the sheets got dry.  She washed dishes as well and sorted some stuff out, and popped all the rubbish bags out to be collected.
When she hoovered, I raced outside to hide from the sucky monster and get some fresh air.

Mum ate her lunch and watched the midday news to get a wee glimpse of baby Archie.  How sweet and happy the family looked.  Good luck to them!!

She spent the afternoon walking into town and got herself a nice top to wear, although at first she tried on a top thinking it was her size and just about got stuck in it, only to find out it was a size too small.  Luckily they had one in the right size that she bought (it was payday after all).

Mum got home while it was still sunny, but soon enough it clouded over and chilled down, and is raining now.  So nite nite from us!!

  1. Bit cold and windy over here to..l was hoping
to finish off the Privit hedge, l started on
    Tuesday! Perhaps tomorrow!

I think Archie is a great name, though a lot of
the media are making a meal of it..one BBC presenter
has been sacked, for tweeting a rather rude photo,
so he should, and as it's Royalty, he should be Hung~
Drawn and Quartered..like they did in the old days! :).
But..as you say, good luck to them! :)

  2. Poppy, dear, you appear to be properly plump and plush as winter approaches in your hemisphere! * I agree with Willie: given the horrors in world news, let's rejoice in the birth of a healthy baby boy. God bless little Archie!

  4. Your mum got a lot done today. Plus that first picture, the clouds look like they are waves rippling away.

  5. It sounds like a good day, Poppy. I like sunny with clouds. I like the big cumulus clouds that gather for a storm in the evening and night. I like the rainy nights… As for Prince Archie - baby yes, name no. I’m glad he has a slim chance of becoming king. King Archie? No!
