The evening was lovely tonight, a taste of summer. Mum got groceries on the way home and was a but hot and bothered when she got back. So it was warm enough for shorts and a tshirt and she sat with a cold drink, and finished reading her book in the sun. I came out and joined her, but lately I've been enjoying sitting down by the rubbish bin. Mum thinks it must smell nice to me.

We're finally enjoying some cooler weather here and my cat loves to sit by an open window for all the smells. Have a sweet day with Mum.

Our summer came early then turned wet and stormy. It will make a long winter for us. Living on the peninsula is nice but the drawback is we get all the Atlantic weather systems.I wouldn't change where I live, but hope next summer will be better.

ReplyDeleteHi Poppy, lots has been happening here and I’ve missed several of your blogs so just had a lovely catchup. Your life sounds so good and mums does too. I like the idea of fish and chips by the sea. Shame you couldn’t go. Everything has been in a bad way here. My toaster broke down and my electric jug joined it. So hard to replace as shops out of stock . Then last week I had a potential burglar. I could here him on my iPad and he was on his phone sounding so angry. He said he could clear this place out in no time. Luckily he was told not to but he’d already done my neighbours down the street. So what with having police come and getting better security I have been so busy but it left me quite ill. I need a nice guard cat to be on watch at night. I wonder if mum would let me borrow you for a while. Mum has certainly put up some beautiful flower photos over the week. I’ve got lovely roses in vases and a cherry blossom tree out in full bloom. 🥰
