Clouds

The skies looked loaded with rain as mum came home this afternoon,  but it skimmed past our house and we just got some drizzle.  Mum went go a French Cafe for lunch with a bestie  having a pork/fennel pie and salad then a chocolate eclair.  Much more tasty than last week's lunch out.

Yesterday on mums way to work there were some anti vax/anti mask protestors outside the Governor Generals house - a whole 8 of them.  As mum waited round the corner for her bus with her mask on, a man carrying large signs came past and stepped into her personal space and  told mum that "masks were evil".  So mum told him to "piss off" and when he took a step towards her she raised her voice and told him to "go away ".

Think what you want about vaccinations or masks.  But if you come at my mum about it she is not going to stay silent about what she thinks.

  3. Your mom has every right to stand up for her rights and her space. I absolutely do not tolerate people pushing their way onto me. I'm also not tolerant of those who refuse to protect the rest of us from covid. Black cloud certainly did look very threatening for a serious storm, Poppy.

  4. Goof for Mum. They are just bullies. Also quite mad by the sound of the. them. When my attempted burglars were here I shouted rude , angry things at them through my security system. That got rid of them. I’ve got to get my 2nd shot in about 10 days. Loved the photo. Great ominous skies. We are having a stormy night. 30 degrees yesterday going down to 13 today. Crazy summer weather.

  5. I would have kicked that jerk in the you-know-whats. He probably thought he could get away with threatening a woman. Maybe kicking him there wouldn't have had an effect: he doesn't sound like he had any...

But I like the picture; approaching rainstorms look so neat.

  6. That's a really neat photo, Poppy. Good for your mum, telling that person off. We would have done the same thing!

  7. Good for her to speak up. Mum had that happen at the store a few weeks ago. She was getting her baked goods when this guy stood right next to her. She asked him to step back. She was masked, he was not. Old guy too.

  8. My human may have tried to slug someone that came at her like that. Because she forgets to be civil when she feels threatened. And you bet she masks up!
