We got this super award from our Friday Friend . Fanks Moki.
"It is given to cats, dogs or any animal or human bean that have lent a special helping paw/hand to another cat, dog, animal or human bean. You may give this award to as many individuals as you want, to thank them for lending you a helping paw/hand. If you don't need it now, save it, and you can give it when needed."
We want to give it to another set of super friends Beau and Angie as this week they were spreading the word about stopping declawing!! That is pawsome guys and I thought this was a great award for this important issue. As we have said many times - declawing lovely pussycats must stop. Scratching is also a normal behaviour for cats, it provides scent and visual territorial marking, it allows old cells to be shed keeping the claws in good condition. Clawas are important for pussycats as it allows them to defend themselves against enemies .
Please don't ever declaw your pussycat - please!! It is like chopping the tops of your beans fingers off!
We know lots of our lovely friends has no claws, as they was stolen from them when they were little. We just want to stop othere beans doing this to new little kitties. In New Zealand, where I live vets aren't allowed to do this to any pussycat as it is considered a restricted procedure .
Thank you Beau and Angie for thinking about our lovely tootsies.
Dearest Poppy Q,
ReplyDeleteWe think you is a pritty cool cat...congratulations on your award from Moki. You deserve it.
Have a wonnerful weekend!
Very truly yours,
The Whiskers & Purrs Gang
That's very kind of you, Poppy Q, to think of others. You deserve that nice award..as do Beau and Angie.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of another kitty that deserves this award more than you, Poppy Q. You are nice.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on yur award and thank you for passing it along to us! Dat is so nice of yoo. Plus thanks for telling efurryone about da claws for scenting. We forgots to tell mom about it because it seems so natural to us. We do it to her alla time when we touches her face wif our pawsies an we nefur put owr claws owt when we do dat. We are polite kitties and treat owr humans gently as they treat us. Purrroowww.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely award!
ReplyDeleteAnd declawing isn't allowed in Sweden either, such a horrible, horrible, mean procedure:(
Have great weekend Poppy & mum!
Congrats on your award! Well deserved.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award, Poppy! You are a very special kitty.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's great that there are enlightened places on this planet where declawing is banned. Padre was declawed by his former owners, and it makes Mommy very sad. She tries to convince everyone she knows to not get their kitties declawed. Meerkat and Panda Bear wear nail covers called SoftPaws, and Mommy tries to tell people to do this instead of declawing.
Padre, Panda Bear, and Meerkat
I couldn't have said it any better than the other kitties already have, Poppy Q, you so deserve the award.
ReplyDeletePassing the award on to Beau and Angie was also a very good choice. I will have to stop by their bloggie and thank them for spreading the word about declawing. It is such an ugly procedure. I so wish they would outlaw it here in the U.S.
P.S.
When you get a chance stop by our bloggie. We would like everyone in the CB's opinion about something...
