It is Monday, and raining again. Lately, cause it has been cold I gets up and has my breakfast in the morning. Then mum gets up and has a shower, and while she dries up she pops back into her bed to listen to the radio and dry her hair. So I go back and sit on her, and keeps her awake so she goes to work.
She says lots of peoples she works with must have Mondayitis, cause someone always calls in sick on Monday. Mum says she never has sickie days unless she is sick. This is cause if she ever does it, she is sure to get real sick the next week and then feels t00 guilty to have a day off.
Is there lots of Mondayitis where your beans work?

I'm always glad when it's monday cuz that means that Sharon comes back to work (cuz that's where I live - where Kevin & Sharon work). Kevin works everyday, but Sharon only works on the week days. Nobody gets Mondayitis around here cuz they like to come to work & see me:)

We are lucky cuz our Beans don't get Mondayitis. Mum works at home with the horses so we can help her, and dad works all different days so Mondays never seem like Mondays to him. We hope your weather soon gets better.

ReplyDeleteHahaha! We thought our mom was the only one that was afraid to call in sick when she wasn't cuz then for sure she'd really get sick! She has Mondayitis all the time...'cept for today cuz she has the day off cuz it's Memorial Day here in the U.S. Guess she'll have Tuesdayitis tomorrow...

Monday is always a tough day (for the beans) but as far as I realized it's not that usual to call in sick over here... Nice post!

It's nice of you to make sure your mum doesn't fall back to sleep. I like to cuddle up and purr when my mum is in bed, and she ends up nearly nodding off again. She knows Mondayitis well!
ReplyDeleteSince Mom retired, she gets mobdatitis a couple of days every week and goes back to bed after the alarm goes off. we don't think that counts!

ReplyDeleteMondayitis - I haven't worked in years. Sunny's Daddy is laid off :(, but where he worked that wasn't a problem. I think because it's a small company, everyone was needed every day to do their job, and they were treated well.
I so agree with your mum, never pretend to be sick or it will come back on you..
