Why yes, several of you asked if I had a catdoor. Why yes I do. You can see it on this picture here. It goes out of our kitchen straight into my backdoor.
When I was an itty bitty kitten, mum started taking me outside for supervised visits in my first week. She would close the catdoor, and during the day put a huge heavy box in front of the door so I couldn't escape. After another week, when she came home, I would be playing in the back garden. I was clever, I would spend all morning moving the box, and pushing my way through the door and all afternoon in the garden.
I was Poppy Houdini.
So I can come and go as I please, anytime of day or night. I like to be at home though, and if mum is there I am usually somewhere close to her.
Beauty AND brains? You're my kind girl, Poppy!
ReplyDeleteAhhh. I had a cat door at my old place. Even though this new place is better (it's hardly new, we've been there for 18 months), I really miss the freedom that having a cat door brings. One day, when my people BUY a house, they've promised me another cat door.
ReplyDeleteWow, your own sneak-out door. It must be nice to be a Houdini. And now you don't have to sneak out.
