Mum learnt on tv3 last night that some of the birds need a little bit of fat to give them energy in the winter. So we added a bit of marg to our bread today. Sorry birds, but we don't do butter so we hope you are ok with the yellow stuff.
I found it particularly yummy, and taste tested it myself first.
Yup, I will give it the poppyQ seal of approval. That is some tasty stale bread and marg - you lucky lucky birds.
Please join us tomorrow for wordless wednesday, and I will show you what happened to the bread!
I bet the birds had a party!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried marg. Is it tasty? Should I nag mum to give me some?

You are so nice to those birdies!
ReplyDeleteYou are very kind to look after the birdies the way you do. We are looking forward to seeing what happens!:)
ReplyDeleteOm nom nom!
ReplyDeleteYou care about the birds, so it's proving rather to put their seal of approval ^^

ReplyDeleteMy Purr Gang would love your job. (they don't get to go outside)
ReplyDeleteLeave some for the birds, Poppy! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was very nice of your mum to be so concerned about the birdies.
Purrs and hugs,

We can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHow very kind of you and your mum to think of the birds. I'm sure they'll be very delighted with the treat.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your tasters seal of approval. A wee
bit of butter cant be bad for your beautiful coat either.
dear, Meg likes butter too!
ReplyDeletesweet dreams, petit fur!
Did you nom all the marg off the bread Poppy? Mum buys big tubs of fat balls for the birds and hangs them up with the peanuts and seeds so we can watch them eat.
ReplyDeleteA little girl I know learned how to make Peanut Butter and Birdseed pinecones that the birds just love during our winters. I'm not sure of the recipe but I think you just get an ordinary pine cone and fill the spaces with as much peanut butter as you can and then cover the peanut butter with as much birdseed as will stick on the peanut butter and hang a tree branch and wait for the birdies to feast. This may be a silly question...but do you have Peanut Butter in your country?
ReplyDeleteOf course I meant "hang on a tree branch" not hang a tree branch.
ReplyDeleteI love butter, but not sure I would want the birds to have it..

I think you should test each slice as your mum puts it out... why should birdies get all the fun?
ReplyDeleteHey that's a good idea. The birds around here have been eating the cat food that mom and dad leave out for the outside cat...but they should try bread and butter instead.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the birdies or the Poppy eated up the margarine!?
ReplyDeleteI tried butter before, but not margarine:) ~Crikey
ReplyDeleteThat's nice of you to provide a birdie buffet. And I love how you made sure everything tasted good!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting! That is good your mom helps feed the birds! We will come back to see what happened to the bread!
