Mum estimates I spend 20.5 hours sleeping a day. For the other 3 or so hours, they are divided into eating, pooping and sitting out in the garden watching my birdies.
Patsy's day is just like that too. She spends 45mins walking, 45 mins playing with dolly or the plastic string of sausages, 1 hour watching tv, 30 mins eating, drinking toileting, and the rest in blissful sleep, moving between rooms depending on the position of the sun!! What a lovely life :-)
I probably sleep about 18 hours a day. The rest of the time I am running around, eating, chasing Gemini, using the litter box, following the Woman around and moving around as I try and get comfortable... and chasing Gemini
that sounds about right. a portion of our day is dedicated to wild kingdom where we franically chase everything. then, there is another portion that is dedicated to hourly rounds where we check out our house. we sleep. wake to snack. pose for pictures. go get scritchies. you know, cat stuffs!
Some of us are in the 16 hour range and others at least 20 hours. The ones that are the longest sleepers are some of our elderly but one of our most awake and active fellows is a sickly 14 year old. As mum always says, she envies our ability to sleep.
Sleeping is a major activity of ours. Then there is travel time from one napping spot to another. We eat, poop, and "play" chase, which is really Jack's game of tormenting me.
We probably spend about 12-14 hours really sleeping, and about another 4 to 6 hours resting, but watching the world around us. The rest is divided between playing in our yard, playing with toys, wandering around the house and eating.
My cat 'Misty' loves to sleep on the arm rest of our couch. She lies on it with all 4 legs stretched out and her paws cuddlying the chair. With her furry ears she looks like a Koala Bear - so cute!
On da weekends when da beans are home we are awake all day playin. Angie is owtside and I am inside watchin owtside cept fur bout an hour nap. Den Angie goes to bed wif da beans at 10PM an I stay up fur a while on introoder alert till bout 1PM. Den I come in to sleep till 4AM an Angie usually gets up den too. Den I wake up da food man bout 5 PM wif a face lik an a few paw nudges (I do not go near da mom bean in da mornin. Nut uh.). So we are awake a lot more den we are asleep. During da week we gets lots more nap time till da food man comes home at 3PM an we are up until late again.
well sweet Poppy Q, I cannot go to the garden as you but I like to see the flowers and the beautiful birds by my window. And of course I love to sleep and see blog's friends. purrs and love We love Luna - Luna
Well Glogirly keeps me on my toes so my days are often unpredictable at best. Maybe if she'd hurry up and get a job I'd get a little rest around here. ...but then again, she says that when she gets a REAL job our blog may have to go on a permanent holiday. : (
But for now, here's my typical day: 65% sleeping 10% eating (in 1% increments) 10% grooming & hygiene 5% pooping 5% darting up and down the steps 5% pretending to be cute 5% avoiding being picked up 5% watching for the UPS man 7.5% hiding 1% watching for the garbage man (Mon. only) 100% thinking up my next blog topic
Yeah, whatever. I'm a cat and not very good at math.
So glad that you stopped by so that now I have discovered your blog, too! Poppy Q is adorable! Ellie May, Brody and Polly spend much of their days and nights napping but also love to assist their Mom with her art and Polly especially loves spending computer time with her Dad.
70% - napping 8% - eating 2% - getting yelles at 10% - running around like total spazoids! 5% - wrasslin' 5% - watching Birdie TV (and sometimes the real tv)
All the cats at Possumlady Place are out of their adolescent stage so they mostly sleep with an occasional crazy attack now and then. Sweet Pea though has been very hyper since he got home from the vet. Always on the prowl and trying to sneek out the door, and jumps in the lap before my butt hits the sofa!
We sleep a lot too. We don't get to go outside. But around 5:30 in the morning we run up and down the hall and jump and play in the bed. We sit next to the mom human's ear and purr and sometimes crawl under her sheets, just to make sure she's thinking about getting up to feed us.
Patsy's day is just like that too.

We sleep most of the day, too. Since Mom is home all day, we spend a lot of time sleeping close to her.
ReplyDeletePretty much the same. We do go for a walk for about an hour every day with mum unless it is raining too hard.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I sleep that much. Are you sure your mom is correct about the number of hours that you sleep?
ReplyDeleteDisco must spend most of his time eating, Brighton sleeping and Kiki grooming. and Mewmie on the computer!

Oh Poppy, I think that I also sleep 20 hours for day ^^
ReplyDeleteAnd, in 3 hours I: eat, play, and stay with my mom
I sleep at least that much. I also eat, poo, play a little, get pets and hang out. If the sun is out, I lie in the sun.

I don't get to go outside, so I guess my day is split between eating, sleeping and the litter box.

ReplyDeleteWe speed about 12-15 hours a day, 11 hours while our human is working, the other hours showing out for her and keeping her awake
ReplyDeleteMum thinks I spend more time snoozervising. I say she knows nothing because she goes to work all day!

ReplyDeleteWe never really thought about it. Probably about the same as you.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely out in the green.
Well, 'cept for the sitting in the garden thing which we don't get to do, we're about the same as you!
ReplyDeleteWhat about playtime? I always make time for that.
ReplyDeleteWe don't like to tell mommy what we do with our time. That just gives her way too much info and info = power. But we all do love our sleep!
