Caturday Bounty

Mum did not get up early today on Caturday, she snuggled in with me til 9am reading her book.  Then the laziness was over and she got up and showered and off to the market.
This is all the fruit and vegetables she got!!!  Enough to feed a family she knows.  Her challenge is to try and eat most of it by next week.  Already the pumpkin is chopped in the oven, with some salmon and lemon in a parcel.  Half the broccoli is in the pot, ready to go!!  Way to go mum!!  Tomorrow she is going to make some leek and potato soup, and during the week has plans for carrot and corriander soup for her lunches, and a couscous and vegetable mix with the leftovers.
So do they not sell fancy feast at that market?  Good job you got me 50 tins at the supermarket this week.
Check out our fruit bowl - full and ready for the weeks lunches and after dinner snacks!

Mum also done some gardening, loaded the dishwasher, folding the clean laundry, she has made the bed, lit some candles for the evening, and has a new book to start reading this evening.  Life is good.

We hope you have done something on your Caturday to make you happy too!

Your Mum is a clean eater, Poppy! What a beautiful bunch of produce. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. xoxo

Oh, that produce looks marvelous! And your soups sound divine! YUM!

You are brave lighting candles with Miss Pops around! I had to give up my beloved candles many years ago after one too many gray tails caught the flame! And they were inside large hurricanes with covers! Yikes!

Have a lovely weekend, lovely ladies!

Good for your mum! And of course well done to you, Poppy, for the photo bomb. :-)

Our human says she wishes she enjoyed food prep and cooking. Even your mum can't inspire her to do anything more than toss together a salad. LOL.

Yuck, who puts lemon on a salmon! You and I should teach her how best to nom it... RAW with a tuna chaser!

That's good that mum is looking after her health so she will be able to take care of you, Poppy. :)

carrot and corriander soup sounds yum! Wanna share your recipe?
Our family eats a lot of fruit and vege, more than I can grow. It could be worth you looking at getting an organic box delivered to you too.

That fruity stuff looks pretty, but I just can't bring myself to eat it! 20 cans??? Well, my Mom buys the huge bag of Science Diet for me. It lasts a long time!

Wow, our mom thinks all those fruits and veggies look so yummy. We'll stick with Poppy, however, and eat our canned and dried food. We bet she'd like some of that salmon. Wow, Poppy, your mum had a busy weekend! However, she does find time to read, so you can cuddle next to her in bed.

We did lots of naps, mum went out to see a free moovie at the library (Skyfall) and put out some apple bits for the robins.

What a lovely still life photo of you and the fruits and veggies, Poppy. My mum says yummy. Good thing your mum thought to buy many tins of FF too. Meow, Jessica the cat.
