Hump Day

Mums work day was a bit blah.  She is glad it is over rover and she is back home.  She has put Ellen on the tv - much less depressing than the news.

She has been good and had her flu jab to protect her over the winter.  She needed icecream tonight - so she bought a big tub and is going to make a big bowl later, sit on the couch and eat it all (the bowl - not the tub). Me - I'm pleased as mum has stocked up on the feast.  A whole fifty tins.   If you live in NZ, the fancy feast is on special - ten cans for $8 which is the cheapest you can buy it for here.

  2. My neighbor across the street came down with the flu day before yesterday. Tamiflu and bed... and his wife running around like a madwoman with the disinfectant. Bless her heart.

Hooray for ice cream and ff! Whee!

    Have a lovely day, ladies!

  3. Don't eat them all at once, Poppy! I had a flu jab and dare I say, have had my healthiest Winter ever (yikes, tempting fate!)

  4. Sometimes humans need a entire (small-ish) tub of ice cream. Just saying. :-)

Fancy Feast is about 70 cents, give or take, in Canadian funds. Wal-Mart sometimes will have it for 58 cents, small mom and pop stores will sell it for almost 80 cents per can. PetSmart sometimes has it on sale for PetPerks members; I got some for the boys for 56 cents per can the other week. Bonus. The general cost is 73 to 78 cents per can. I remember when it was less than 50 cents...and that wasn't very long ago, at all.

Anyway, we all hope your mum has a GREAT rest-of-week!

  6. Poppy, i love fancy feast. Momma gives me that as a treat when i'm a good kitty. But ours is more expensive. A can would cost 1.2 NZ dollars. Momma buys a few cans only. I wish NZ is just near where momma and i live so she can buy from there.

  11. Oh so much fancy feast! FF was on special at a store last week but due to a bomb threat in the neighbourhood mum was not permitted in. She found another store with an even better deal on FF! Glad you both have your yummies. meow. Jessica the cat

  12. Poppy you are quite the spokes-girl for the feast. We like the "Classic Pate" once in a while, just to change things up. It costs about 80 cents USD on sale.Do you like different flavors or just one kind? we Like something different every day. We demand to sniff the lid so we know what's comin on the plate. This year we got some of the delicious feast crunchies for snackin on = yummy bits'o goodness.
Enjoy watching your mom eating Ice cream. It's too cold here to eat any. Mom was smart to get jabbed. Our Mom always gets flu jabbed & has never got the flu bug. Even if she did, we like to hunt and we could deaded them bugs.
We startin to sheds our Winter furs so Spring is almost here. Grow yourself a good thick furs so you can be warm now that it is Fall where you livz.
