Stomach Issues

10pm dinner here again - awesome.  Still I do love going to bed with a full stomach.  Mums stomach wasn't feeling too good.  She didn't eat too much today just some toast and an egg for lunch.  She met a friend in the afternoon and they shared a small plate of chips and had a lemonade.  Then the girls went to 2 movies.  Mum actually thought that she would get some toast once she got home.

So after a ladies bathroom stop, mum walked home which is about a twenty minute stroll, giving mum  a chance to listen to some ted talks.  About half way home mums tummy did a big old gurgle, and she knew she might not make it home.  And it was not the vomit type of gurgle, oh no.  Luckily the gurgle happened about 2 minutes away from a McDonalds.  So she had to do the old fake yes I have been eating here shuffle, and hit the bathrooms straight away.  Phew - luckily the bathroom was vacant and she got there just in time.  Mum was worried she might have to drop her trou and do a poop on the roadside.

So home now and feeling better.  Time for toast!!!

  1. Poppy, dear, please inform your poor suffering mum that whatever it is, it's running amok in bowels abroad, too. *sigh*

  2. A world away our Mum is going through the same thing! Can't eat the things like they used to when they were kids. Might it be our mums have joined the tea and toast generation?

  10. Your poor mum. We hope she is feeling well soon. Lots of rest and toast and tea is what mum says is best. When mum and her friend were travelling around India mum ate all the local stuff - so lots of tummy troubles; Mum's friend lived on toast and her tummy was just fine. From Jessica

  11. Oh noes, those tummy troubles when you are not near a loo. Mum doesn't even fake about eating if she needs the bathroom. Figures for the times she eats and doesn't use the room, she is entitled to use the room and not eat. Hope her tummy is all settled down.
