Dear friends - thank you all for the lovely words and emails for my beautiful girl. I got the phone call yesterday to say she had returned to the vet, and that call made me cry again. However picking her up today was fine, and I knew she would be glad to be back home with me.
So my Poppy girl is back by my side. How cute are her little paw prints? I treasure the 16 years we shared together and miss her more than my heart can bear at times. The house is empty without her, and I keep listening for her meow and little footsteps, but they never come .
Thank you my love - you were the bestest girl and I'll love you forever.
Mum xxxx
(((Julie))) I'm glad Poppy's ashes are with you now, along with the sweet paw prints. I'm sending lots of cyber hugs, love and Light. ♥

ReplyDeleteSuch a special place for Ms. Poppy! One thing I do if they went outside, I would open the wooden container (there usually are screws) and take some of their ashes and sprinkle them around their favorite climbing trees or lounging area.
ReplyDeleteShe was a beautiful girl and I see her everytime I look at my Bella
ReplyDeleteWe have followed your blog since I got Bella, sent over by another blog. I can’t believe it’s been ten years. Big hugs to you
I'm glad that Poppy is home where she belongs...
ReplyDeleteI've had a good number of kitties through the years and I have the ashes of all of them. I like to think that they will be mingled with mine some day.
It's comforting to have them about.
We send gentle woooos,
ReplyDeleteJulie, I have been away from my PC for a couple of weeks so am late sending mu condolences. I understand the courage it took to let her go and the loneliness. It will take time. We loved your girl, too.
