As I look up at the sky, what do I see?


Clouds upon clouds in this direction.

And more clouds on clouds out this side.

Our sunshines visited for a couple of hours today, but the clouds and rain are returning. Us kiwicats are sick of the rain, and we want our hots and sunshines back.

We Have a Winner

First mum cut up all the names, and then she put them in the paper bag. 70 of our friends entered into our little competition.


Then she added a few greenies.

So I decided to go and check them out.

I climbed in and dined, and in fact I fell asleep in the bag. An emergency nap, and it sure smelled nice.

My Friday Friend

This weeks My Friday Friends are very new. They have been lurkey turkeys for a while, and finally broke the silence to wish me birthday wishes. Their new blog is called : http://possumlady.blogspot.com/ . I have been reading up on my new friends, and this is what I have learnt about them.

They live in Washington DC, in the US. This is the handsome Sweet Pea, and he has been a bit unwell lately, his mom has been very worried about him. He keeps getting flea bites, which he is allergic to. I understand Sweet Pea, mum has to keep defleaing me too. He is about 10 years old and likes to snuggle with his mom.

This is Apu, who is 13 years old and is a bit of a scardey cat.

Woody is about 8, and was rescued from a life rough on the streets.

Toby, this lovely ginger fellow and Chloe and Figaro, tuxie twins, have come from the neighbours rowdy house, and settled in with the others.

And this is Lisa, Lisa also came from the neighbours house, and she is a little chatterbox.

Oliver is another kitty that was a stray that has arrived, to be loved and eat lots, and lots of food.

Nice to meet you Possumlady and your herd. We hope lots of friends pop by to say hello.

Rushing Around

I helped my mum do some chores today, we rushed around, washed her uniforms and put some stuff away. Then she went to the movies to see Coraline and then (500) Days of Summer. She enjoyed both, but not the earthquake we had before she went into the second movie. Don't worry it was just a little shake, but enough to unnerve mum a bit.

Now she is home, we are going to do a little rush around again. Just to get the bed made and the groceries away. We hope you don't have too much rushing around this weekend and get plenty of relaxing time.

By the way, sorry to whine about the weather, but it is unseasonably cold here still. Gloves and scarves weather. So we are going to layer up the blankies on the bed tonight. Sweet dreams everybuddy.

My Friday Friend

Hello Friday. Hello My Friday Friends. We use this post to introduce new bloggers to some of our older blogging friends. New blogs are popping up every day, and we often don't get a chance to meet everybuddy now, as there are so many great blogs out there.

Our new friends are Hope, Lucky and Bugsy, they all live with their mom Carolina, in Dallas Texas. Their mom originally comes from Brasil, but has lived in the US for 13 years. You can find their blog here: http://www.happycatfamily.net/blog.html#


This is Bugsy, he is a ragdoll and a rescued cat. At only two years old, he is a big dude but very loving and a curious cat. He loves napping and to cuddle!!

Beautiful Hope came home in May as a foster kitty, but in September she got her own gotcha day and officially joined the family. Picked up as a pregnant stray kitty, she was taken to the same shelter as Bugsy and Lucky, but didn't like all the noise and chaos there. She is about 2 years old and a maine coon.

This is the beautiful Lucky. Lucky is a ragdoll and was rescued from a shelter, at first she was very shy and quiet. After lots of work, Lucky is not so shy now and thinks she is a dog!! She likes to follow Carolina around the apartment and play fetch. She also loves to be outside, rolling around on the concrete and chasing bugs.

It's raining more than ever? Oh boy!!!

Spring weather can be like that sometimes.

Wordless Wednesday

Still Polar Chilly

Still chilly, so I have asumed the number one bed position. Just where my mum likes to lie down. We did see a slash of sunshines this afternoon, but the wind had a polar bite to it - Brrrrr!!

It is meant to be spring here, but October is often rainy and windy. We have been spoilt, as September brought us lots of sunny and warm days, which we would like back. Summer doesn't really arrive until December, and can often last til March. Wellington, where we live can be unpredictable though.

We wanted to let our kiwi friends know that if you go to Farmers (a nationwide department store), you can make a donation to aid Samoa, and Farmers will match dollar for dollar (up to fifty dollars). We think it is a great thing they are doing, and while you are there you can buy something for yourselves. Unfortunately, they don't sell anything for cats and woofies there. We think they would make lots of monies if they did.

Quiet

It was another quiet day, as mum had her second 12 hour day in a row. So she is off to bed with me in a minute. The wind is blowing straight up from the antarctic tonight, so we are starting the week off with a cold spring blast. So pull up the fleece and crank up the electric blanket - it's snuggle time.

My Friday Friend

Hello Friday - hello friends. This week we are going to introduce you to another of our new friends. Say Hi to my new friend Jazz.


Jazz is a beautiful birman, who lives with her mum Vic in beautiful Romania.

Jazz is well read, with lots of books, just like my house.

And we can see that bed making is another hobby we share!!

Diet Time

This is my concerned face. The first concern I have is that I got a report card from the cat motel.

It said I was overweight - and they had been feeding me diet biscuits for breakfast and only a half can of the fancy feast for dinner. So since I has been home, mum has scrapped the diet biscuits - I'm back on the full fat baby. But, she thinks the half can at night is a good idea as I often just pick at it. So my weight is 5.6 kilograms, and mum thinks I could just lose a little bit.

She is going to join me though, and try and watch what she eats. As she could do with losing some too.
