Blogger still seems to be doing silly things with the photos. Today the rain cleared and mum went out with her good friends for a walk to the botanical gardens. This picture is from the top of the gardens overlooking the harbour.

As mum walked home she walked across the parliament gardens. The big round building is where our government spends all the countries money, and we all call it 'the Beehive'. Our elections are coming up this Saturday, and we know all about the ones in the US too. Please make sure you all get out and vote.

This is another view of the city down below, and looking out onto the harbour.

On a sunny day, it is a lovely place to live.

This was my view all day, I stayed home and guarded the neighbourhood.

  1. We are happy that things were sunny for you today. Our mum used to go on the cable car to uni, and she took our dad to visit the Beehive when they went back to visit the grandparents. We haven't been there, but it sure does look nice.

We bet your neighbourhood has good insurance premiums, with you on patrol.

  3. Oh, Poppy Q, thank you and your mum so much for your donation! With your permission, I'm going to divide it between Beau, Moki and myself, because they need help with their vet bills, too.

  4. NZ is so lovely, Poppy Q. Mom says she never realized just how beautiful it is until she saw the bonus DVDs that came with her LotR DVDs.

  11. Good for you. Guarding your home is an important day's work!

We're not allowed in the polling area, for some reason, but we've told Jan which candidates each of us want voted in.

Jan, what do you mean, you're only allowed one vote? There are 9 of us and one of you. That's 10 votes. You tell them Poppy Q said to make sure we all get out to vote!

  12. Someone had to stay and guard the 'hood, Poppy! Guess what? Your city looks a lot like mine, especially those harbour views. I forgot that you kiwis were having elections this weekend, too. Exciting times!

  13. Looks very pretty! More modern houses but the view reminds me a lot of Funchal, capital on Madeira.
