Remembering a Cat Who Loved Boxes

Last week was the hugely popular First International Cat in Boxes day, here in the cat blogosphere. Well before me, mum had a special beautiful girl called Puss. One day in the summer, Puss decided she would sleep outside in the front porch. First she slept on the door mat, them mum put a cardboard box with a polar fleece blanket out there so she would keep warm as she was an old girl.

As the months went on, mum had to replace the cardboard box with a special plastic cat bed. It had a pillow in it, covered with a towel and a polarfleece, and Puss loved sleeping out there, rain or shine.

Unfortunately mums computer crashed and lost all of her old photos, so she only has this small photo from her cellphone, done with about 10 pixels.
That Puss, she was a funny girl. She loved potato chips, loved strangers, loved her cat biscuits and mum loved her!! She hopes she is sitting in her box at the bridge smiling down at us.
Have a great weekend everybuddy.

  1. Thank you for telling us about Puss. She looked a lovely lady.
We like sleeping outdoors in summer too. I sleep in my pot in the greenhouse all night, but Eric goes in about 4am and sleeps on the Beans pillows with them.

  2. Puss sure was a beauty, Poppy Q! We also love sleeping on our patio, but not in the rain. In fact, Gandalf has to hide under a chair for rain and thunderboomies.

  6. Puss looks like a great cat - so sorry that your Mom lost all of her pictures. Another story for us to tell Dad about the importance of backing up the computer - they would hate to loose all of the millions of pictures they have of us.

Please drop by our blog as we have a contest starting today.
