Sweet Puss
This weekend, we remember mums sweet girl Puss.
About 7 years ago, this wee tabby girl climbed through the lounge window and came up for a cuddle. Everytime mum said 'hello Puss', she would chirp back at her. She was skinny and her paws were dirty, and it looked like she lived rough. So after a week, mum caved in and fed her and she moved in. Just like that. So if anybuddy is missing a sweet tabbycat, mum is sorry for stealing her. She let Puss use the cat door, so she could go home if she had one, and mum checked all the lost ads and called the SPCA, just in case.
Puss liked eating, she loved peoples food and always wanted to see what you had on your plate. One of her favorites was potato chips!! Yum yum!!
She liked to talk to mum, and loved to come for a cuddle. Puss loved visitors too, but like me was scared of big uncle. When he came to stay she would hide in the garden across the road.
The vet thought Puss was about 10 years old, and we always wonder about her earlier life and who she lived with before she came to make mum happy.
Puss we miss you, but know you are having fun at the bridge. We'll meet again sweet girl.

ReplyDeleteSweet Puss was very beautiful. And she sounds like she lived up to her name quite well.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty much how our Uncle Allen got our cousin Cosmo Kitty. He just showed up in the yard one day and never wanted to leave. And 5 years later, he still hasn't.
As the saying goes, you don't choose your pet, your pet chooses you! :)
ReplyDeletePuss sounds like the sweetest of sweet girls. And such a pretty one, too:)
ReplyDeleteSweet Puss had the most delightful whiskers. We can see she was very clever by the way her eyes shine. Purrs!
ReplyDeleteShe was quite beautiful, indeed! And we are glad her last years were happy, loved ones.
ReplyDeleteJust look at those sweet, soft eyes and lovely face. What a beauty. She just radiates love.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're just mad for a cat that talks.
She brought the gifts of love and happiness into your home and received them in return. What a happy ending.
She was a beauty! What nice memories you have of her!

Hello Sweet Puss...maybe you are playing at the Bridge with our sweet guardian angel kitties?
ReplyDeleteThat's how most of our family has arrived here...just showed up and never left. That's how it went for Ginger, Jonesie, Bennette, Nigel and Cecilia.
Aw, that is sad. I wonder where she came from.
ReplyDeleteCindy
What a sweet story. She sure knew where she wanted to call home!
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely a sweet puss!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for kitties as it is. I've had 3 find their way to me, only one of them is not with me now. Our pets definitely choose us, especially cats. Sweet Puss was adorable though, and I'm sure she's having one heck of a time playing with an endless supply of toys!
ReplyDeletePuss had a sweet loving face. We are glad she found your mum and had a happy life with her.
ReplyDeleteYes, even I say khute face!

PeeEssWoo: Mom asks about my life befur I found her and made her choose ME! I khan't tell her...
What a beauty! She was one lucky kit cat to find your mom. Cats know instinctively who to love.
ReplyDeleteYour mum must have needed Puss to come stay with her, that's why she came through the window that day.

What a pretty little girl. Your Mum has a real eye for pretty girl cats. It's funny how pets come into our lives. I am glad her last forever home was a good one.
