Yesterday

Yesterday, mum got a call in to go to work at 4.30am. It took a long time to organise and scan the patient, so she didn't get finished til 8am. That meant though that the boss had to give her the whole day off. Did she spend it with me? No!!

She went to an education session at work in the morning to learn some things. Then, she went to the movies, twice!!! She saw Sunshine Cleaning and The Young Victoria. She said they were good, especially because it felt like a special day.

Tonight though, her eyes are itchy and she feels the need for an early night. I have helped her with some jobs, but we are off to bed now. Night nighty!!

  1. Well, how unfair...she gets the day off and doesn't spend it with you! Well, at least you have the night!

  3. Although your mum didn't stay home and play with you, an early to bed night means more cuddling time! You just love your mum so, don't you darling girl. Kisses to you.

  8. You just have to make her purromise to spend her next day off totally catering to you! Usually when our mom takes off it's because she's not feeling well and she just sleeps. Hope you at least had a restful day!

  10. Sometimes mums need to go do fun stuff that doesn't include us. We don't understand why, but they do.

We're glad that you'll get extra cuddling due to the early bed time!

    Have a nice weekend,

  13. Wow 4:30 is so early! It is too bad you didn't get to spend more of her time off together but I bet you mom was glad to be able to get in some fun. It probably will help her be more relaxed for the next few days.

  14. Doesn't she know that days off are for spending with you? You're gonna have to get her better trained, Poppy!
