Hot hots
Well, mum got called in last night from midnight to 7am, so she didn't manage any sleep, and she expects tonight to be just as busy. Thanks for crossing your paws for her.
It was hot hot hot today - we're not quite used to it. When mum got home, she found me in my new shady nest, on the cool side of the house, but couldn't get a photo of it, so she will try tomorrow. The skies are red outside tonight, so we think it will be a scorcher as well. So mum says she is going to exercise her legs and get outside for a big walk.
Today, instead of sleeping she went with her friend to a big craft fair and spent four hours walking about and buying too much stuff. Stuff she might have to take photos of and show you.
PS - we know we shouldn't be complaining about hot weather when so many of you are living in snowmageddon. It's just that mum is a very English type madien, who is used to medium temperatures. So her fair skin goes bright red when the mercury gets hot, and she sweats like a fountain. And even though she dreams of living on a tropical beach, she would be a hot sweaty mess, with the most annoying hair ever.

Paws crossed!!!
ReplyDeleteWe will cross our paws too! We are sorry it is so hot there!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. We hope your mum can catch up on her sleep at some point. It's hard to keep going when you are exhausted. Has she ever tried melatonin? It works for some, though didn't work for our mum, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteStay cool today, Poppy!
We know about hot here in Florida, but that doesn't come until the end of May for us. Try to stay cool!
ReplyDeleteyour pal,
Bruce:)
You must drink a lot of water when it is so hot. My mom is going to a cat show early this morning, so she can get home before the big snowstorm arrives. I think she may get me a new toy.
ReplyDeleteCat Mandu
Paws crossed, too! How can she expect to sleep when she is out shopping?
ReplyDeleteWe've got our paws crossed too! We'll trade ya a touch of cold for a bit of the hot weather PoppyQ!
ReplyDeletePoppy, your mum has amazing energy. Mine would be a big lazy sleepy mess. We're in the middle of a snowstorm while you're roasting. Mama had a chuckle about your mum being an English maiden. She's the same way. Her skin turns red just thinking about the sun. Oh well.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Lucy

I hope your Mom can get some good sleeps. I hope it doesn't get too hot. Hot hots are hard.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, go ahead and complain about the heat. We don't like it any better than the cold - medium is perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour Mum would probably like a tropical island better, because there would be a nice breeze.
If we could take some of your hots away, we would!
ReplyDeleteYour mom sounds like my mom! She hates the heat.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your Mom gets some rest. I'll bet she had fun at the craft fair!
ReplyDeleteStay cool Poppy and have a great weekend...Maybe your Mom can get some catnaps sometime soon...xp...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeletePaws crossed that your mum gets some sleep, and that the weather cools off a little for you.
ReplyDeleteWe will keep our paws crossed that tonight is quieter for your mum.
ReplyDeleteBuying nice stuff is really good for the soul when one is feeling exhausted!
ReplyDeleteMy human would rather have all the snow than too hot! Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteI'll send you some snow.
ReplyDeleteWe've got the hots up here, too!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the latest Pet Mag should be out at the end of the month.
Hope you mum doesn't get called in again. Mum agrees that as much as she would love to not live in snow country, the hot portions of the world would be too much!
ReplyDeleteTry to stay cool Poppy Q. Hopefully your mum gets some sleep too!
