So, Caturday is almost over here.  Mum was up at 5am to go to work, and boy was it wet and wild out there.  We got asked about the howling.  It has been a week since we moved in.  The first night I howled for 8 hours and hid under the bed, imbetween climbing on top of mum and having crazy eyes.  The next three nights I woke up at 4am with the birdies and howled for about three hours.

On Thursday mum let me outside for about three hours, and since then there has been no more howling and I now sleep on the top of the bed with her.  She is working tomorrow, and is hoping that once she gets home she will let me go outside again for a couple of hours, and show me the new catdoor so I can get used to my new outsides and that will make me more settled.   She is hoping that she can then get rid of the litterbox inside.  Honestly, she doesn't know how so many of you sort out litterboxes every day.  It makes her quite queasy

So a quiet night at home for us again as we settle in.  Mum will do some more unpacking tomorrow after work and hopefully the rain will have stopped.

Enjoy your Caturday everybody.

  1. Poppy, I'm so sorry your move has upset you so much! I hope that once you get to explore your new territory you will feel much better.

  2. So pleased the howling has stopped Poppy!x
It means your settling in and getting used to things. At least your on your lovely quilt on the bed.
It will get better, once you've been out and about, and chased a few birdies! :0).
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!x

  3. It's good to hear you are feeling better about your new place. We are also quite excited to see the outsides as well. Out mom cleans our 3 litter boxes about 5 times a day...hehe. She had better as we like our litter 'clean' or else...

  4. We hope you're feeling more settled in now, Poppy.

Had to laugh re: your mum feeling queasy over the litter box. We have 3 in the winter and 4 in warmer weather, as one sits outside on our back step. Derry sometimes will use the garden, which annoys our human, but Nicki won't.

  5. I have 2 ginormous litterboxes. It is No Fun. But necessary. So glad the howling has stopped. That's a good sign.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, ladies!

  6. Gee Poppy, we bet you howled because you thought you were going to be an indoor only kitty.
We purr you both are feeling a bit more comfy at your new place.
We love decorating our litter boxes for Mom,heehee
    Purrs Georgia and Julie,
    and Angels Tiger and Tillie

  7. I hope you get to go Outside and play more in your new place. It's no fun having your world turned upside down...but I'm sure you'll settle in soon.

  8. Glad things are better as you grow more accustomed to your new home, it will become your "Home" and you'll be happy there.

  9. We is sure mom is happy to have the howling done with and you is both settling in.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

    Sasha, Sami, & Saku

  10. I hope you are more settled soon, Poppy. Moving is so hard for many reasons. Hugs to you and your Mum!

  11. I am glad you have stopped howling Poppy and are getting used to you new place. I have one litter box for emergencies but prefer to go outdoors.

  12. I am an indoor kitty and content with my big windows. Mum cleans out my litter box twice daily and I watch to make sure she does it properly! I am glad you are getting more settled, Poppy. Meow, Jessica

  13. Litterboxes? Mum has three of them to clean every day for us!

You were just not happy being inside all the time.

  14. Pleased about the howling Poppy, you'll be doing the purring soon.

My lot have a litter box during the winter. When it rains or is cold the little darlings refuse to go outside. I've got used to their 'offerings' now!
