So the stars all aligned tonight for mum to go and get Fish & Chips for dinner. It was Friday (the perfect day not to eat meat - so fish is a good option), it was payday yesterday so mum had some cash on her and she had to visit the library across the road. Mum only gets them about 3 times a year so it was a nice little treat, although a bit cold when she got home.
So the middle aged mumster is having a grand old time tonight. Fancy dinner, then washing done and hung out, dishes soaking - woop woop she lives a wild life!!
Hope you are all ready for the weekend and preparing yourself for Caturday.

My human loves fish and chips! She is probably having that as her birthday dinner.
ReplyDeleteSo living the dream!! Have a happy warm weekend you two.
ReplyDeleteOh! Poppy!x It's not so bad reading about food!
ReplyDeleteBut, when you start putting photos of it on
post, that's a bit naughty! HeHe! And, fish
and chips at that...!!! :).
That's it now! I'll jump in the car at 5 o'clock,
that's another 6 hours, drive up the chippie, and,
get fish and chips! You've got me going now! :0).
That looks delicious! Our biped says she's hungry enough to eat that now, and it's not even 8 AM yet. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, both of you. Purrs and peace.
MOL! We have never seen fried fish here cuz TBT cant stand the stuff. And we sure dont want ta eat bread... Different habits...
ReplyDeletePoppy, dear, haven't you eaten a treat you knew you'd regret consuming? Good for your mum, enjoying all that fried goodness! (I must.have.sliders once or twice a year. These are steamed onion burgers that wreak havoc with one's digestion for two or three days.)
ReplyDeleteMmmm, fish and chips. It's been ages since I've had real fish and chips. We can get some here in southern Alberta, but it's very expensive, as we are far from the sea. And except for one or two restaurants, most just serve fish-sticks. Not the same at all. I hope your mum savoured her special dinner. What a nice treat.
ReplyDeleteI love some fish and chips once in a while myself! Does your mom share any fish with you?

ReplyDeletePoppy, did mum share her fish and chips with you? Is fish and chips a tradition on Fridays in NZ too? It is here in Canada, especially for old people who remember fish on Fridays.
ReplyDeleteOur mom and dad love fish and chips, too! You've inspired them, we think ... fish and chops might just be in their near future plans. :) - Zoe and Gracie
