Mums made me happy and let me have a shopping bag on the bed tonight, so I've curled up to rest and am purring beside her. I've had my dinner, some water and been out to the bathroom. She's brushed my furs and talked to me and cried lots of tears. Thank you all for all of your kind words and love. We know so many of our friends have already made these journeys with their own friends. We appreciate your warmth and love.
Our hearts and our love are with you both, Poppy. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI've only been seeing you, Poppy, for about 10 years of your life. Precious and I always love you giving reports of you and your mum, down under 1/2 a world away. We love you. And enjoy that bag, Precious says.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like this was a very good day for you, Poppy. Your mum knows that's what matters.
ReplyDeleteHi Poppy and Mum. I've been following you since, I think, 2008 or 2009? I usually read you on my phone and that doesn't allow me to comment for some reason. I had to get to my computer to write you a note and tell you how much I love you Poppy! Honestly, I start my day in bed scrolling through a few blogs and yours is always one the first ones I read. I am so sorry you are losing weight in your old age. So many of us have had to deal with the heartache of sick/elderly cat companions. I think your mum actually highlighted my blog (when I still had a blog) and showcased all my 10-12 kitties. Sadly they are all gone now, but I took in another stray in late 2018, Clementine, but she is my one and only now.
ReplyDeleteBut, as you mum said, you are still purring, still eating, so hopefully you have many more weeks and months ahead. Sending pawsitive thoughts your way, Miss Poppy.
Your mum knows what you like and will do whatever she can to make you happy. I hope you have a lot longer time together. Love to you both.
