BIG weekend

There is sun - and fun on the deck.  Mum and I are having a good day off together, and we have lots of photo sessions to share with you. It is a big weekend here in NZ, big, Big, BIG.

Late

Mum got home late tonight, so late that it is already tomorrow.   She went and met her friends for lunch, but they were driven inside by the cold and wet weather.  Then mum met her best friend for the rugby.  They got to watch Ireland play Wales, which was a very exciting game.  Lots of the supporters were dressed up and there was lots of singing and cheering.

Then mum and friends went to a pub to watch England play France, which was a close game too.  So big night out, but mum went home and left all the young ones to it in town.

So we just have to wait for the sheets to whizz through the dryer, then I will help her make the bed and then it will be time to retire.

Me - I guarded the house and had a good snooze.

Big Weekend

Last night my mum went out. She met some of her oldest friends at a bar. Then they went to another bar, then they tried to get into a restaurant but it was too busy, so they went back to the second bar, which mum says was good, cause she liked their pineapple Cosmopolitans. They ate there - Hummingbird it was called, and although nice the meals were teeny tiny and the girls were still hungry.

So they went to another bar. This one was called the Library, and was stacked full of old library books, and was a bit too cool for school. Still mum and her friends tried to look hip and just had desserts. These too were pricey and microscopic - oh well.

So when mum got home at 11pm, I was sitting on the step crying for her - like the little hungry orphan cat I am.

Then we went to bed and crashed out. Now she tells me she is off out again tonight.
