Taking my own advice

Tonight I took my own advice, and took myself off to bed at 7pm. Mum sneaked into give me a pat and a cuddle and but the electric blanket on for me. So I have had a lovely 4hours peace on my bed!! I hope she has a late night.

Daisy, I never ever sleep under the covers. The electric blanket we have goes under our bottom sheet but is so hot it heats up the whole bed. I guess you wouldn't need one in Florida?

In the winter, if you go to bed early and pretend to be cold, your mum might be feeling sorry for you and put the electric blanket on early.

Great Discovery

I have made a great discovery - Mums laps are good places to have a snooze!! When my mum picked me up from the breeder lady, she was told that British Shorthair cats are not lapcats. So mum tried to encourage me to sit on her knee, by giving me a couple of treats. Usually I would just get me two or ten treats, and then jump straight off. But, for the last week I have come and sat on my mums knee for sometimes even fifteen jillion minutes.

Remembering Puss Angel

This was Puss, mums cat before me. Mum was thinking about her being at the bridge, because of the recent loss of all of our friends.

When Puss died, the vets let you take the body to bury at home, or they can take her for you or they get her cremated privately. Mum chose to have Puss cremated, and a week later they rung to say the ashes were ready. They were in a lovely sealed wooden box with Puss engraved on a plaque on top. Now they sit in mums bedroom on top of the to be read book pile, close by her picture.

We like to have Puss nearby. At mums brothers house he has two dogs in the lounge room, and Mums mum ashes are in the bedroom. It must be a family thing.

After I posted last night I realised I left you all with a blurry photo. To make up for that I have posted a non blurry one of me. I hopes you likes it.

My friends Moki and Orange Boy lost their lovely sister Lucy. Her mum said she went to sleep in a sunbeam and didn't wake up. Sweet dreams sweet Lucy, see you at the bridge with all of our friends.

My beautiful friend Forest from Snow and Forest escaped from her house last night and was hit by a car. This is the beautiful photo that she won in my first blogoversary competition a few months ago. We will miss you lovely Forest and are thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

Holiday snaps

These are the hot pools that mum went to on a cold cold day. They are heated by vocanic underwater springs, so it is like swimming in a hot hot bath. They also had a sweet calico cat that lives there, and sleeps on the concrete in the sun. She got scared away by some kids before mum could take a photo of her.

Also mum went down the dragon slide, even though her freinds were too scared. She didn't get a photo of that either.

Mum found these two cats at another cafe on her holiday. They look perfectly happy being stomped on every day. I think they look a little bit like my sweet friend Millie, what do you think?

Mu Shue Pooh King Cat

This is our brave friend Mu Shue Pooh King Cat - his mom says he very poorly and thinks he will have to go to the bridge. He lived with his mum Laura for 12 years and was a great boy for her. Several months ago there was a fire at their apartment building and Mu Shue looked after his cat sisters Lilly and Iris, keeping them safe until they could be rescued. Then two weeks ago, his mom had her beautiful twin babies, and although Mu Shue was sick, he knew that his mom and her babies were safe and would be looked after.

We are purring for you Mu shue and we wish you a safe journey, we know all your family and friends will miss you but we know you are tired and are ready to go. When it is our turn we know we will see you one day at the bridge, playing with all of our other friends.

Our frosty box, has a postcard from Italy on it, a picture of me, some wee cat magnets and three whale magnets. Little bean visitors like to push the magnets around. Inside, we have lots of frozen meat. Mum says she should go on an archaeological dig inside and we should use up all the stuff, as it is costing more and more in the shops to buy groceries, we should use our old supplies first (she has been saying that for some time).

I am glad I only like cat food, served fresh at every meal.

Cool

Where mum went on holiday, there was lots of snow on the mountains and it was chilly. We have cold air blowing up from Antartica at the moment, so there is a nip in the air. It even sleeted here at the weekend which is unusual. We know we shouldn't complain as so many of our friends had a horrid winter with tons of snow.

Tomorrow she will take us somewhere even colder.

How rude popped over to say Hello!

How rude, the intruder was in my back garden again, sitting on the fence. It was too cold for me though, I stayed inside snoozing.

My mum caught up with some friends at a birthday party. It was such a super cool place. It is called "Alice" as in Alice in Wonderland, so they serve all their flash drinks in teapots with ladies teacups. Mum thinks it was a bit too cool for her, but an enjoyable but very late night was had.

I'm Back!!

I am back home now and on my bed ready for a snooze. Mum says I am unusually quiet, and a bit skittish but she knows that I will be alright after a couple of nights on my own bed snuggled next to my mum.

Hopefully I will get to visit with you all over the weekend.

Oh no, mum pulled out the PTU and I am off to pussycat prison. She is off to the lake, to celebrate another friends purrthday. She said she felt bad - I don't know if I believe her.
