This is my bird!! I caught him! Now he is deaded though.
Mum says thank you for putting the dead bird on the bed beside her while she was sleeping. It was a lovely present, and I got a pat on the head and told I was a good girl.
Then she scooped him up on the dustpan and flung him over the neighbours fence, sorry neighbours!!
That does look yummy! Were you hoping it would not be deaded? Cool psychedelic dust pan!
ReplyDeletePoppy, you're a big game hunter!
ReplyDeleteWhat a mighty hunter you are, Poppy! Cosmo and I aren't very good at catching birds.
ReplyDeleteJust as well your mum was impressed with your hard work.

Welcome to the bird catchers club, Poppy! I loved to try and catch birds for my mum. On the rare occasion I was successful, she was happy too. I know because she used to race around the garden waving her arms and screaming "GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!".
ReplyDelete-Fui.
That cool! I always try to catch birds, but my mom doesn't let ...
ReplyDeleteps: You're invited to my birthday party this Sunday! Hugs =)

Congratulations of catching that bird Poppy Q. Too bad your mom didn't let you eat it.
ReplyDeleteMinnie says, "Your mom is a lot more gracious about your bird-catching than mine is--she won't even let me in the house if I've got one in my mouth! Hmph!"
ReplyDeleteThat pretty dustpan is certainly a nice presentation for that deaded birdie. We never caughted anything cept cricket and a few stray leaves that blow in...Foster's comment made our mewmie laff!
ReplyDeleteI'm a good guesser!
ReplyDeleteSmoochies!
After all that you went through to catch it for her? Beans...
ReplyDeleteWhat fine hunting work there Poppy! Too bad you couldn't eat it. If there is a neighbor cat on the other side of the fence, they just got a gift!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and yummy gift :)
ReplyDeleteBirdies are not very much fun for very long, are they Poppy Q?
ReplyDeleteGood catch, Poppy! We can't believe your Mum threw your present to her out! Doesn't she appreciate the skill it took to take the birdie down for her?
ReplyDeleteNice hunting, Poppy! We've never caught one, though Pixie gave it a good try a couple of weeks ago. How mean of your mum to just toss it away like that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time you'll get to eat it...
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

ReplyDeleteYou are a mighty hunter Poppy. Mum laughed at the thought of a deaded bird flying through the air into your neighbour's garden.
