Home Safely

Me and my mum are home safely. The girls at the cat motel said I was a great guest. I ate my food, did all the right things in the right places and was nice to my neighbours. I'm glad to be home though, lots of sniffing to do outside.

This morning it was a bit exciting where mum was. Because of the big earthquake in Samoa, there was a tsunami warning for most of coastal New Zealand. Because mums family live not too far from the beach, they packed some clothes and food, grabbed the dog Lush and headed for the hills. Mums niece, Belle - well she grabbed photos, passports, her mum and dads wedding photo, and nana Barbs ashes (the family treasures). Luckily, the waves passed us by and we were all safe. We hope that Samoa is safe now, and hope that they get some aid quickly.

Thank God NZ was spared. We've lived where there were big waves and we know their strength. We cannot imagine how how powerful and terrible tsunami must be. Purring for all involved.

  22. I'm so glad you are all alright! A tsunami sounds like a scary thing!

We live in the High Desert in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and don't have much water at all except when there are monsoons in the late summer and then it's never enough.
