Captive

I got stolen captive on Caturday and taken to the vet to have a senior check - the cheek of it!!  I is only 9 years old.  I had to have my temperature taken, my vaccinations done and then some furs shaved off my tail to have a blood pressure taken.  I did behave, but left the vets scrubs covered in a nice coat of poppy furs.  I do not like being in my carrier, and I roll around and howl.  Once we get in the taxi an at the vets I am quiet.  I was gentle with mum, but did give her one scratch when she picked me up and tried to comfort her.  In 9 years I have only given her 4 scratches, so she forgives me.

Luckily I could have a quiet weekend to recover.

  1. I hope everything checked out well for you, Poppy! I go with Binga for her senior checks, but I don't think she appreciates it.

  4. Poppy, dear, today is Mlle. Mindy's annual vet visit. She, too, is only 9 years old and shares your loathing of medical procedures. She also expresses herself by singing the aria from Aida whilst flinging long gray furs upon everything and everyone.

  6. At least it was just for a check-up, Poppy. I'm sure everything will come back fine. At nine, you're just middle-aged, not senior. Whoever though nine could be senior in a cat?

  7. Glad everything checked out okay, but it really upset us seeing you caged like a tiger. Good try trying to escape!

  9. A trip in the carrier to the vet is reason enough to sing the song of your people. We hope you got a good health report :)

  12. Humans don't like to go to see the doctor either, Poppy. Definitely no fun. But these visits keep you kitties and us humans healthy! You are so good to have only scratched Mum that many times. :)
