Hello 2016

Hi Friends,
Hope you got to welcome in the New Year with some style or fun or just plain old relaxing.  Mum strained her back a couple of days ago and was not in the mood for rushing around.  So us middle aged ladies did a bit of relaxing at home.  She cooked herself up some hand made chilli spiced fries and had a some Coke zero.  She had saved Interstellar to watch - it was ok, maybe she was expecting movie magic but just felt it was a bit long.  The funniest thing was that the movie stopped working at the end, in the last 10 minutes.  Thank goodness for youtube - wouldn't you know it, the ending was available on there, so mum did not have to go to bed not knowing what happened!!

Thanks for sticking with us for another year, we wish you all health and happiness for 2016 and hope at least some of your dreams come true.

Love
Poppy Q and the Mumster

  8. We had a quiet Eve and quiet New Day. Watching the parade and little bits of college feetsball. Otherwise, mum crow-shayed and read a book.

  9. Like most middle-aged ladies, mom spent the evening makin' some tasty snacks for the evening. Mom says if yur gonna be festive, snacks help make things fesive. Mom made some hot cheddar bacon dip which we lick some off her finger until she said unwe were gonna lick the skin right off her fingers. But seriously, her fingers tasted like cheesey bacon so it was hard to stop cleanin; every bit of that dip off her fingers. We did a better job than a napkin. Later she had some Chex mix that we had no interest in samplin'. It musta been real salty too, 'cuz later Mom drank about a gazillion glasses of water. We stayed up to watched the crystal ball drop in Times Square (previously recorded for the West Coast). Then there were some real loud 'splosions that scared us UTB. When mom came to bed we climbed into the warm bed to keep mom company while she read a big new book she got for Chrisymouse. We all feel asleep pretty soon after that.of excellent adventures. We don't know what we would do without our New Zealand middle-aged lady & her big NZ girlcat, Poppy.

  10. We fell asleep and missed the whole year change.
Then we watched parades later in the day. Yawn.
