Mum was up early this morning as she had to head into town for her appointment. It was foggy and cold when she left home, but the closer she got to town the fog was clearing, she was even early and got to wander round a bookstore. Although she no longer buys any books she will take photos if covers of ones she is interested in, and see if the library has it available.
She got a steroid injection in her sore frozen shoulder, done under ultrasound. It was quick, only 5 minutes and sore for a couple of minutes. Mum came home to rest after as it was quite uncomfortable and she is not allowed to work until Thursday. The injection may reduce pain and inflammation, so hopefully mum will feel a bit better.
So it was an afternoon of reading her book and relaxing with me. The sun was out, so the windows were open and fresh air let in.

Tuesdaying
Mum got some pictures of me this morning before she left for work. I ignored her and watched the birdies instead.
She is a bit tired as she got called in twice last night and only got to bed at 5.30am. That could be why she got half way home before realizing that she had left her phone at work. so she had to double back to pick up. Four bus trips later and she was finally heading home. Luckily it only cost $1.70.
It could also be why she tripped over the heater tonight and bruised her foot. So she is going to give up and head to bed.

Tuesdaying
This a house round the corner from where we live. Halloween is not a big thing here in NZ, it is unusual to see a house decorated like this - but it made mum smile on a cold grey day.
Mum and I had a lovely sleep in. Mum did go and drop off a couple of bags of items to the local charity shop and had some lunch. She then went for a walk, and stopped in at one of her favorite shops. The girls were cleaning up as they said there had been an earthquake, knocking a picture off the wall and knocked some bottles of body wash off a stand. Mum never even felt the earthquake at all.
Mums days are nice and relaxed and slow. We love a good staycation.

Tuesdaying
Because mum is on shift all week she has allowed herself sleep ins which were lovely. Winter weather makes a late wake up perfect as it is much more cosy to stay curled up and resting.
She has given herself a couple if chores to get done. Today was washing and hoovering. Also dinner for the next 3 nights have been made - a veggie mash and meatballs. Lunch was a toasted sandwich and breakfast was a banana.
Today's viewing was a documentary on the art of Ancient Egypt and an episode of Grand Designs. Hiw civilised of mum - it is hard to find good shows to watch.

Tuesdaying
Tuesday already. The mumster has this week off for a little staycation and she is enjoying our sleep ins and relaxing. This morning she did not have to be up until 8am, and I came and snuggled with her twice.
She saw a couple of movies at the film festival in town and had a tasty lunch out of a filo parcel with Thai chicken filling and the nicest salad mum has had in a while. She even got to pop into the library, and read a whole small book in the 2 hours she was there.
She headed home just as the rain started, so jacket and boots are drying. There is no sign of the mouse that I had last night so mum hopes it has truly gone. Me well I kept our side of the bed warm.
