Code Brown
Once I got home yesterday, and all of today I have been following my mum around in case she disappears again. Whenever she sits on the couch, I run up and sit on her lap for about 5 minutes and then I am off again.
Last night, as we went to bed, mum noticed I smelled a bit whiffy. When she checked my back carriage, she noticed there was a bit of brown hanging around. By the time she got some toilet paper to clean me up, I had managed to sit in about 5 spots on her bed, and in the spare room. So doors were closed, gloves on, and duvets changed. Today I am a bit better, but mum is going to leave the big fleece blanket over the bed, just in case the excitement is all too much.
We both had a great nights sleep though in our own bed, but mum says she has arrived back and the autumn weather has really started. Luckily we have a mountain of jobs to do, lots of books to read and mum has plenty of merino to wear.

Hi Poppy,
ReplyDeleteI know you happy you must be to be back home with your mum. I'm the same way when boarded. Mama has found a great pet sitter and I seem to be happier when she goes out of town. Anyway, sorry about the code brown. It happens.
Purrs,
Lucy
hee hee. Mommy is laughing over "code brown" and is going to remember it the next time one of us needs a litle "assist"! So thanks, we think...it's sure better than "Grab so-and-so, they've got a dingleberry"!

We know you and Mom are both happy she is home
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens. I hope you are feeling better and are settling back in with your mom.
ReplyDeleteSorry Poppy=hope your code brown is history; that's never fun!...xo...Calle, Halle,Sukki
ReplyDeleteThat's a nasty little problem, Poppy. We're sorry you had to endure it. But now that you are home with your Mummy, all should be well again.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
We almost didn't see you on that fleece. What are bed sheets for if not for wiping your bottom? We're confused.
ReplyDeleteYou should be right as rain by the weekend!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry abowt the code brown ~ poop happens and it's nuffin to be embarrassed abowt!
ReplyDeleteOoops. Oh well, these things happen.
ReplyDeleteCode brown happens...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are both home and together!
Clean up on aisle two!
ReplyDeleteHey, it happens. Your mommy certainly has a way with words, Poppy! Or should I say poopy?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Poppy, but you know what they say, s**t happens. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your mum's home and that you both slept well!
"A bit of brown hanging around." I love it! Not that I love it, but... ah, you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteSighs. Moms are so very particular, aren't they? Ours gets after us with the pet bath wipes (mostly just Toby). Very annoying.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your mom is home with you! Sorry to hear about the stinky butt, but your mom helped you with that! Enjoy a nice, cozy snooze!
ReplyDeleteOops, Poops...changes can do that to you! At Teri's day hunting place (shhh, the vets)...they call that condition "Sat on a Cupcake" hahameow!
ReplyDeleteWe think that code brown is a great way to refer to that embarassing issue! And we think it is hilarious that you got to sit in so many places in such a quick time - that'll teach her to leave you again!
ReplyDeleteOh dear code brown is never fun, but you have your mum back to give you love and care I am sure you will soon be feeling tip top.. Sending you hugs.. GJ xx
ReplyDeleteMommy laughed some when she read the your blog, as I left her a small bouquet of that same material on the floor next to her bed. I have NO idea why I did that! Luckily my kibble causes me to have easily cleaned up Code Browns. That is the first one..mom hopes it's the last she said.
ReplyDeleteHi Poppy - happy to see you home where you belong. If I was closer I could be your cat-sitter (no, I wouldn't sit on you, I would love you up.) Hugo is on a diet but he is not happy about that so I bought him 3 kinds of light food so he will have a variety. Tell mom if she puts you on a diet to be kind and make it tasty.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Oh no, not a code brown! We, too had a couple code browns because I'm trying to change foods over very slowly and it's not going well.
ReplyDeleteI hope your feeling better soon!

If they held a contest for the most comfy bed, you would win for sure!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home and safe. Sorry about the extra washing for brown residue.
