You would think with a face like this I would be smoochable - but
- I avoid being picked up.
- I don't like being cuddled.
- I run away if you try and kiss me
- I only let my mum kiss me on the head, and often I growl at her when she does it.
- I only jump on her lap, and sit there about four times a week.
- I do often sleep on the bed between her knees, but I wait til she is asleep before I jump up on the bed.
So mum has learnt to wait until I am very sleepy on her bed, and she sneaks in for a stealth snuggle, kiss or tummy rub. And she enjoys those special stolen moments, cause she knows I love her.

Hehehe you sound like my big brother Harry - he does not like cuddles or kisses unless he thinks he will get food. I love cuddles and always put my head down for kisses - the two of us are complete opposites!

When I feel like a kiss or a cuddle, I am the most determined smoocher in the world. When I'm not in the mood, I am a lot like you. Lishy is, too. He sometimes asks for head rubs, but he doesn't like smooches. Fui on the other hand is the sookiest boy who has ever lived.

ReplyDeleteIf my lady even looks like she going into touch me I off and running but she gotten very tricky you see she pulls out a spoon like it has dairy on it and goes into the grab. Me and Maxie do not sleep on the bed untill she sleeping

Poppy, it must be very hard for your mom to resist cuddling you all the time! I do not much like being picked up and held, but I spend many, many hours in Mommeh's lap every night.
ReplyDeleteThat's very interesting, Poppy! I confess that neither Sei-Chan nor I go in for cuddles with #1 much. She tends to get us "on the fly" so to speak. The real snuggle-bunnies around here are the boys... Yuu-Chan especially would cuddle all day if given half a chance!

Maybe it's a girl thing, Poppy, 'cause our Annie isn't big on smooches either, though she'll tolerate them. And she's definitely not a lap cat! We're glad your mum can steal a few smooches when you're sleepy, though. :-)

ReplyDeleteWe're very much alike, Poppy. I'm not the cuddly, lap kitty type either, and if I do get on Mom's lap, she knows not to move or I'll leave. Even if she stays completely still I only stay for a minute or two.
