My friend Mandu, asked what kind of birdies did I watch?
Why, tasty ones of course!! We think they are mostly sparrows and blackbirds that live in our neighbourhood. Yesterday we gave them bread, and some grapes to eat, and they were happy for hours. I stayed out in my nest the whole day, but didn't catch any birdies.
We have a yard full of Robin Redbreasts here, Poppy. They like to hop along the ground.

Those do look quite tasty!
ReplyDeleteOM NOM NOM!!
ReplyDeleteMmm tasty fev-vers. We get lots of different sorts here ranging from the tiny goldcrests and wrens to the big buzzards and herons.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of Robins and Towhees... and some Mockingbirds! We would love to catch one or two.
ReplyDeleteWe had a big hawk eying Buster (our Parson Russell) the other day! He's a little too large for the hawk, thank goodness, but the hawk was beautiful to see perched high in the trees.
ReplyDeleteThose birdies look very tasty!
ReplyDeleteOooh, those birdies sure look delicious!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm they do look tasty. I have minor birds and a magpie that come to the window and torment me, they are very mean!

Poppy, they DO look tasty! Do they chirp and peep with a NZ accent?
ReplyDeleteWe get lots of big birdies like heron and wood storks and ibis. I am a little scairted of them because they got big beaks.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice of you to give the birds some treats. Do they ever give you any Temptations in return?
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm ... they do look tasty, don't they?
ReplyDeleteWe are tormented by doves and pidgeons, mostly. Sometimes though, well, let's just say it involves a lot of feathers and a few grisly bits left over.

Oh, hi Poppy! My friend has a little girl named Poppy, too! I don't have a cat friend on a blog yet, so I am going to have to follow you! Maggie, Max and Gustav say meow!
ReplyDeleteI did love the birdies in my younger days. Now I stick to chicken. Happy Hunting!
