It was a big sleep in day here today, and then mum went and did some more jobs and left me to sniff the flowers outside.
Today, feels like the last day of summer, as daylight savings changes tomorrow morning and it will get much darker in the evenings. Last year, the weather changed at the same time too, heralding in winter. So, after mum got some groceries, she went for an evening walk and enjoyed the breezy evening and watched the clouds blow across the sky.
You should always take time out of your day to sniff the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your mum enjoyed her breezy walk.
You have the right idea, Poppy, taking time to smell the flowers every day! Humans should pay more attention to what they can learn from cats!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you and your Mum both know how to stop and smell the roses, Miss Poppy! Or whatever flowers you happen to have on hand!
ReplyDeleteThat was a good plan for the day, Pops. When there are flowers, they should be smelled.
ReplyDeleteThose are fun pictures - first the close-ups, then the pull-back to see where you were sniffing the flowers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your summer, such as it is.
Yup it is important to take time to smell the flowers. We don't like the darker evenings because it means less going for walks time. We haven't been walking much lately even with the lighter evenings because it is too wet and windy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Poppy, you are a wise girl to take the time to smell the flowers...It's also time to snuggle with Mom every night now!...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteI did stop and smell the flowers over a week ago and I took some photos of them too. Now I'm on the tail end of miserable allergies. The pollen is bad in Vegas this year. Enjoy.
