Scruffy dog

After work, mum was walking home and she found the scruffiest cutest little terrier dog, sitting on the footpath looking lost.  He had a collar on, but no tags.  Mum felt sad for him, and rather than leave him sitting there, mum sat with him, to wait for his mum or dad.  No one came, or was calling for him, so it looked like he must have had a little wander away from home. In the meantime, he snuggled into mum and had  a little snooze.

One of mums neighbours came by and said that she had seen him out there two hours earlier.  Another friend of mums came by, and said one of the ladies nearby would ring the SPCA.  They sent a dog control van to pick up scruffy dog, and he did look sad going with the nice inspector.  Mum felt sad too and had tears in her eyes.

She would love a little scruffy dog like this.  He was only a bit bigger than me, and smelled ok for a dog.  He didn't bark and was happy to sit nice and quiet with mum.  The problem is though that she works long hours, and we don't have a house suitable for a dog.  Also - I might not be so happy with a new roomie, and mum knows that would not be fair.

Poor little sruffy pup.  Mum has searched the local lost ads to see if anyone has listed him as missing, but no luck yet.

  3. I hope someone claims the little fellow. A dog that friendly has to have had someone who cared about him.

  9. We're glad your mom took time to care for the poor little guy and purr that he'll find a good home where he won't be allowed to wander.
