I Spy

I like to play I spy and look over the fence at the neighbours place.  In fact this morning mum caught me out the front of our place going for a nosey pose and look around their garden.  How brave am I?

Monday morning was not mums finest.  She had to be at work at 7am, so for her that means getting up at 5am, which means she should be turning her lights out before midnight, but her book was good.  Getting up to go to the bathroom at 4am didn't help either.  So she was glad to get home this afternoon, after a visit to the library and to the supermarket.  She put on her comfy "I hope someone doesn't see me in these" home pants on (track pants), her sheepskin slippers and a comfy jumper.  She had got some DVDs out from the library to watch, and started watching Blue Jasmine, before nodding off half way through.

So after a short nap, mum fed me my feast, and started cooking dinner.  Tonight was Green Thai chicken curry with  vegetables and rice for her.  Lots of leftovers too for lunches for the next couple of days.  Television for the evenings entertainment and bed at a more reasonable hour tonight.

  1. Poppy, dear, you're a brave, big girl to go exploring outdoors! But do listen to your mummy about where it's safe to run about. Perhaps it would be fun to have her watch you, so you could talk about what you've seen together? My younger tom is a McBogle and we always discuss his mother's visits to our neighborhood.

  3. You're very brave, Poppy! We just hope it's safe over there.

Our human knows all about the "I hope someone doesn't see me in these" clothes. They're the best to wear! :-)

  4. You must stay close to home...a big bad dog might be in the neighbor's yard.

That's why I don't read books at bedtime. Some of us have a hard time putting them down :(

  5. I would be interested if you finish Blue Jasmine - we have got it out twice and for one reason or another never watched it.

  6. I am nosy too, Poppy - I look at our neighbor's backyard all the time, and if I were allowed outside, I'd be over there too!

  8. You keeping an eye on those neighbours, Poppy? We have a kitty in our building who keeps an eye on everybody making sure the humans behave. Mum enjoyed Blue Jasmine. Mind you that was back when our TV still worked and mum could enjoy DVDs. Meow, Jessica
