Chilling

Us girls have been chilling.  Mum has piled up the washing basket and doing a few chores, reading the book and taking it easy.  She did head into town for a little wander this afternoon.  The council has made the buses 1/2 price for the pre christmas season.  Boy town was busy with last minute shoppers, mum saw a couple of people she knows and was glad to head home.  So my feast was fed, she cooked some chicken nibbles and salad for herself.  Family conversations were had, and now mum is tidying up and getting her uniform ready for tomorrow.

Hope you all had a nice day too.

  2. Sounds like a good day! Your city council offers half-price public transit for the holidays? (Or part thereof.) Sounds like a good deal! I get a monthly pass (now through work at a discount), and for a couple of occasions during the year public transit is offered free (Santa Claus parade day, plus a day in June), but otherwise it's pretty pricey, considering the small size of our city. Still cheaper than owning one's own vehicle though!

Anyway, we hope your mum has a good work day, nothing crazy!

  3. Poppy, dear, I've noticed that dog people adore noise and crowds and hustle and bustle; whereas cat people do not.

  4. It is nice that the two of you can get together for some quality time at the end of the day.

  5. That is nice that the council reduces travel to half price over the Christmas period. My mum is ancient so she gets free bus travel. She doesn't live near a bus route so she drives to the Park and Ride and gets a bus into town from there. Much easier than trying to park in town at this time of year.

  6. Sounds like you and mum had a lovely day Poppy. We hopes this week isn't as busy as last and you and mum get more time to snuggle.

  8. Poppy, you make the best photograph subject. We just love that mug of yours. That is a great idea to have buses half price, so many more people can get around to attend holiday events and shopping. From Jessica
