Crazy Week - Day 4

Well here we are about to enter the half way mark of crazy shift week.  Friday night was uber busy at work, and the past two have not been too bad.  Steady but not crazy.  Mum does find it hard though when she finishes her shift close to midnight to settle into bed any earlier than 2am, as it takes a while to wind down.  Still she is lucky that if she is able to sleep through til 9am that is the longest sleeps that mum has had in months.  Thanks middle aged lady hormones.

It has been nice to have the sun  shining the past two days, time to get the washing out.  Mum will relax and watch a couple of shows before she heads off to work again.  Call the Midwife and Modern Family await.  She has finished two books also this week, so she feels like she has managed to get a bit of relaxing in.

I have been sleeping lots and am always glad to see mum when she gets home at night.  I always run to the door to greet her, and then tell her I am ready for my feast.  A midnight feast is just as tasty, and then I need to sleep it off.

  1. Sounds like a busy schedule for mum. Audrey would happily join you for a mid-night snack as she often wakes me for one. lol

  5. It sounds like your human has been keeping MY human's hours! She works until 1 or so, gets to bed around 2 and wakes up at 9. But she does that pretty much every day!

  6. You must be missing your mum during weeks like this one, eh, Poppy? She undoubtedly would like to be home just as much as you would like her to be.

  10. Mum liked to unwind first before bed when she used to work late. Thank goodness she could sleep a bit later too.
