Back to Normal

No Mumster Monday this week - after 4 weeks of having Mondays off, mum had to go to work.  The good thing was that it was a shift, so she got to sleep in and hang out with me and keep the heaters on as it was still awfully cold.  Lots of areas round the country have roads cut off and power out for days, but luckily not in our city.

We are quite enjoying the Olympics - mum has watched a bit of the rowing and might watch a bit of the swimming and the gymnastics.  Are you watching any?

  1. Poppy, dear, your mum has obviously selected her living room furnishings to showcase you as a soft sculpture!

  2. Glad you have not lost power! Our mum watched the opening ceremonies Friday night and when they showed New Zealand, she cheered for your country!

  3. I'm just catching up on you and your mum, Poppy. I hope the things on her mind clear up soon. It can be discouraging having worries that stay.

How did some of New Zealand lose power? Was there an ice-storm? It's true that 4°C is little more than a brisk autumn day here, but if you're used to warmer temperatures, it can still feel chilly. I'm glad you girls are keeping warm.

  4. Yikes! We hope all those who are without power are managing okay -- and that power is restored soon. It would be mighty cold without a heat source (for us too, as we're reliant on electricity and natural gas for our heat, we don't have a secondary source).

We hope the rest of the week goes well for your mum, and for you too, Poppy. Purrs and peace.

  7. Not watching mum Olympics here, mum is trying not to become a couch potato in retirement. So keeps the TV watching down.

  8. Oh Poppy, we sure hope it gets warm there for you. But still with lots of cuddles with the mum bean.

There has been lots of Olympic watching here too. Mom bean says she sort of understands rugby now, our Canadian gymnastic team choked (on a hairball, maybe?), and those swimmers from Australia are speedy!

    Enjoy!
